Satellite 9.0e DVB-S2 12092H 27500 3/4 8PSK showing a number (approx 12) of Freeview channels similar to those "available" on 27.5w managed by Arqiva but without Video PID and Audio PID.  Anyone else seen these or know anything?  Is it something to do with potential demise of Intesat 907?  No mention of these recent finds on Flysat, Lyngsat or King of Sat.

How is a few french channels showing a static image of a bake potato related to 27.5W?

Not sure what you are saying, but I rescanned 9.0e yesterday and new channels appeared named CH1, CH2, Ch3, CH4, CH5, CH6, 995, 996, 997, 998, 999.  The EPG shows that CH1 -CH6 are the first channels of the Freeview line-up. i.e. BBC One, BBC Two etc.  Only thing missing seems to be the video & Audio PIDs.  Curious!

EnoSat, do the 2 channels work on an Enigma2 box or no chance without special actions?

here, not sure is latest, not tested yet

for OE2.5 disable anti-hijacking and token-based security in web interface settings

all files with permission 755

if needed bbc.service:

create the bbc.service file in /etc/systemd/system

insert this:

[Unit]
Description = BBC service

[Service]
ExecStart = /usr/bin/bbc_pmt_v6.py -t short -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0

[Install]
WantedBy = multi-user.target

Activate service with via console
systemctl enable bbc.service

Hello dxdy!

Thanks to  your instructuion and the included files I was also successful on my DM920 with Newnigma2 and all BBC channels on 27. 5w are working.

However, I have the problem that I always have to switch to „Red Button 1“ first, so that the other channels also get working and I can switch back and forth
between the BBC channels without any problems. But if I switch to another channel than BBC (for example ZDF) and then switch back to one of the
BBC channels, I have to switch back to „ Red Button 1" first, so that all other BBC channels work again. What am I doing wrong?

I don't know if it has already been written, iI think it hasn't.

This satellite (Intelsat 907) is old, it was launched in February 2003, so its 13 years design life finished time ago.

Intelsat has never said nothing about a replacement... but on Wednesday, when looking at Eutelsat 5W B and MEV-1 launch on ILS dedicated channel, I saw this....

Attached File  MEV-1.jpg   51.41KB   11 downloads

So MEV-1 will dock into Intelsat 901 (which is currently in inclined orbit at 29.5 W) and be moved to 27.5 W to give service for 5 years......

Now the question is...... suposing that transmission mode and encryption remain unchanged.........will its footprint change ?

On Intelsat website, 901 current KU band footprints just give two caribean ones..... which are almost the same one.

will have to go to Cuba to watch BBC.....  :D

They have a different picture.

Though they are not Intelsat.

Ok. these are pictures of when it was at 18 West.

European Footprint seems very similar to 907 current European one, although centered on a different point.

What is the center point? Where do you see the new footprint?

Whar are the frequencies used by this new satellite?

If we believe the maps I linked, of course if those apply to 18w orbital position, they will change a bit, but probably they can orient the satellite in a proper way and I think the spot on the ground will not be very different (18 W and 27.5 W are not that far, though undeniably different).

Spot 1 observed frequencies according to King of Sat:

https://en.kingofsat...php?sat=35&b=61

All the rest about our beloved signal of course is even more misty, at least for me.

@ Robinson,

Current 901 (29.5 W) KU footprint

http://www.intelsat....s/901-330S1.jpg

Old 901 (18 W) KU footprint:

https://imagizer.ima...6233/TIDnUp.jpg

If you compare, it's a "mirrored footprint".

Current 907 (27.5 W) KU footprint:

https://www.intelsat...s/907-332S2.jpg

As you can see, current 907 is centered on UK, and old 901 was centered on East Spain-South France, but shape was the same.
