hmm, not sure about this skipping programs, although from time to time I get the impression that this [<][>] browsing is not 100% reliable (especially with shorter/borderline broadcasts)
I found another issue here - disappearing event description (entire screen with title/time/date/description is empty)
1. when you jump with right arrow, at some time you'll get empty event description (couldn't find any pattern yet... depends on service, and seems not fully replicable/?/)
2. more intersting case - on most services, if I go now with a right arrow to the some Monday's broadcast (eg on 1:00 am) and then jump back with a left arrow it turns out that descriptions for first two broadcasts (now/next) are gone...
---
aha, anticipating the likely questions:
- yes, epg description for these empty broadcasts is available in other epg views
- tested with PLi-hd skin
//and to be honest, I am not sure if it's result of latest changes, but can't remember I saw such issues earlier...
True sarcasm doesn't need green font...

Wrapped text was removed because it makes the layout chaotic... Cool does the same.... Probably it can made optional.

optional would be nice :) do you already have an idea what to do concerning the bugs?

The missing description and consequently large jumps have been found. Small fix, I'll hand it to littlesat tomorrow.

Still working on the EPGSearch loss-of-key-remapping-kludge. For the record: the way that EPGSearch inherits EpgSelection in multiple ways is about as ugly as it gets. Looking at the code I would think that it would have been ten times cleaner and more efficient to simply write the functionality from scratch instead of trying to reuse classes from EpgSelection at all cost.

I even like the wrapped text.

How do you use it then? How many lines do you use in the display?
My personal experience is that depending on the height of a channelline, using wrapped text causes the display to become rather chaotic because:
- The words shift up and down from the middle line.
- If the text is too long, you'll see partial letters at the bottom of the line.

The usual mode of operation is that you increase the number of lines (to somewhere between 12 and 15) per page to see more, but then wrap becomes mainly a nuisance. Also, a title is displayed in full in detail window.

But if you think that it is worthwhile to keep the wrap, then I'll look into making it optional.

can you revert all changes to gmepg? :D

Trying to go forward here. If things are not an improvement in your eyes, I'd prefer to make it optional instead of reverting it. All the changes so far are meant to increase readability.

i am using the standard settings, in list mode. 1080p With the wrap I can better determine the indivdual events. Without wrap sometimes they reach into each other.

in ex1a ex1b you can see that in ex1a you can't really determine where the next event starts. ex1b is excellent

in ex2a you can't really determine that this are two events. ex2b is much better.

in ex 3 the words are too close together

If you make it optional - that would be great :)

Probably this must be made configurable... Allignment service descriptions... Left, center, right.... Wrap service descriptions yes, no... Just to satisfy all different flavours, tastes and wishes...

In the new autoscale skin the service description stated it bit to the right so you can better see the start of a service....

That can be solved by using EventNamePadding="10" in the skin for the list widget in GraphMultiEPG.

But, if you don't like doing that, I'll make an option that allows you to select between the two behaviours.
The simplest would probably be an option in the skin, so that new skins can change the layout to what you see now if they want to?
Any objections?

option is good. But I don't understand the second part of this sentence:

"The simplest would probably be an option in the skin, so that new skins can change the layout to what you see now if they want to?"

?? so I need a skin that can be configured for "word wrap epg"?

and am I right that this is nothing I can configure? "EventNamePadding="10" in the skin for the list widget in GraphMultiEPG"
at least I don't know how

Die evenrpadding gaat in de standaard skin komen.. Wrapping en allignment wordt een config waarbij de eerste default wordt.

Left, centered, right, left and wrapped, centered and wrapped, left and wrapped...

Wel ff geduld hebben svp...

The three most important patches are in there. Please test with EPGSearch and TMBD tomorrow.
The large timeskips/missing EPG information bug has been fixed, please verify tomorrow too.

The rest of the fixes (alignment and wrap) will go in this weekend (most likely).
