I never had a long ride with free proxies in STB, sadly... It quickly comes to a standstill...

But I would like to try again, if possible, please - anyone with an ipk file?

Namely, I can't get BBC on my dish setup, so it would be really cool...

Well, this seems to be working fine from the very beginning.

Attached the ipk as downlaoded via my Ultimo: please try if it works for you.

Can I use this ipk for the Dreambox 8000 too?

There's one simple way to find out ......

But it should. If not, unzip the package and FTP the folders to the correct locations (and mind the dependencies).

I don't know if it's just my box, or that it is een Dreambox problem with this plugin (enigma2-plugin-extensions-ondemand_git393+28e834e-r53_vuultimo).

You installed the ipk or did you FTP files and folders?

If you installed it: was there an error during install?

I installed it with the line: opkg install --force-overwrite. It showed no errors during the installation through Telnet.

I downloaded the ipk from the ViX-feeds: possibly there is an incompatibility with PLi.

Sorry ......

Maybe someone is willing to adjust the plugin for a Dreambox 8000? Would be very nice and much appreciated.

I don't believe the problem is hardware specific; it must be related to the image.

it's working fine on the DM8000 with the OpenATV image using the OnDemand plugin from their ( OE-Alliance ) feeds.

So all in all, as we are an OpenPLi forum, is there any way to get BBC Player working on OpenPLi at the moment?

If so, what IPK or anything else should we install./copy to extensions directory?

all of the source files are rite there in the GIT, surely the pli devs could adapt it to work natively in pli in the same way that blackhole did by cloning the git and making alterations them selves. rite now the versions that are failing are the so called DeVixed ones that were adapted by members of the satpimps forum, the original OE-Alliance version is still working just fine.

the above post is completely untrue !

im running the devixified version on my VU+ using OpenPli 3.0 and BBC iplayer is working perfectly.

to say that its the devixified version thats failing without any proof is totally idiotic.

the problem is more likely to be that there are several versions and users are probably not using the latest one.

lets not forget that the BBC site changed things recently and it was the devixified version that had the fix days in advance of the OE Alliance version.so its more likely that users are not using that latest fix, because i assure you the latest devixified version is also working just fine.

Ian.

OK, so can anyone please post the latest version of the plugin working on most recent OpenPLi images? In my case it is ET9000 (3.8.7) but, hopefully, this does not matter.

Also, do I have to uninstall the previous version first?

Or is it just about replacing the whole OnDemand folder?

Climb down from your high horse you plonker.  Every person i have seen so far report issues with the iplayer has been running the devixed or stand alone version, none have so far confirmed it with the OE-Alliance version. as for fixes just look at the GIT for details and dates when fixer were and were not introduced into the plugin.

-[OnDemand] Update tunlr DNS server settings ( Thanks mickd for the heads up )

you can either wait for the next build ( after 703 or 704 ) or FTP the CommonModules.py file into /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OnDemand/ ( delete any CommonModules.py / CommonModules.pyo files already in there ) then perform a GUI reboot for the fix to take hold.

Please remember to delete the CommonModules.py once the receiver has rebooted and it has generated the new CommonModules.pyo file

p.s this fix is for the OE-Alliance OnDemand player, I have no idea if it will work for the modified or DeViXed versions.

Hi,

STB - ET9200

Image - OpenPLI 3.0

I reflashed OpenPLI 3.0 (5 days ago), can I downlead and install the OnDemand Plugin from the feeds or do I have to install all of the dependencies posted earlier in this thread?

Thanks for the great image and anyone who develops/posts the plugins for this image.  I've tried many other images, and OpenPLI has been the most stable for me by far.

unless either a full 'devixed' version, or the 'extras' ipk file posted earlier in this thread are used, then it wont run, as the OE-A have used some python files that are not standard in ANY other image as a dependancy, one of which was 'written out' in python 2.3
