My MetrixHD 1.6 for Openpli 4

It wont install from feed, because of old metrix skin. i dont know how to deinstall the old one.

Uninstall:

1.Go To Settings->Skins and choose the PliHD or the default shin and let the Box reboot.

2. Go to Menu->Plugins and press the red Button.

3. Go to +Skins and choose MyMetrixHD for uninstall. Reboot.

4. Install the new Skin.

Sorry, I did'nt find it. What's the name of the new ipk?

The same name as the old one? It updated automatically here when I ran an update, no need for you to do something complicated.

Stil the problem on the second infobar though:

- block with EPG "now" info is a difference size from the block with EPG "next" info

- the position of the orbital is not the same in the infobar and second infobar (you see it move when you press ok twice)

I unistalled the old metrix skin and installed the one from the feed. But still no changes. My reciver wont start from standby. I guess i need the ipk and force overwrite the files? Where can i download the ipk?

everything i tried didnt help to get rid of the problem. I had to flash a fresh image after that the metrix skin from feed. Seems to be ok now. Box starts from standby after several hours.

Not the same here - I try mymetrix 1.5 from the feed and also the github link from above with the last 5 openpli versions (fresh install), none of them works correct:

- still hung in standby

- still freezing in list mode

- the mymetrix plugin does not remove correctly - the plugin still shown in the installed plugin list

 

Any tips (exept "don't use mymetrix")?

Ask whoever made it to make it OpenPLi compatible (which it clearly isn't at the moment)? Of install the stripped down but compatible version from the feed?

But hey, what else - it works fine in combination with the latest xtrendalliance-4.1 and enigma2-plugin-skins-mymetrixhd_1.5_all.ipk.

Didn't adapt anything, just installed xtrendalliance-4.1 and enigma2-plugin-skins-mymetrixhd_1.5_all.ipk (from here, post #329). thats all. Don't know why this doesn't work with OpenPLi from here.

What does that help? The discussion was this skin on OpenPLi. That it works on a washing machine might be interesting, but hardly relevant...

 

That isn't in our feeds is it? If I look at that github repo, it says it's made compatible with OpenPLi 3. Which doesn't mean it automatically works with OpenPLi 4.

 

If you have any error messages, we might have some pointers as to where it goes wrong...

I wrote at post #331 what's happend when I use mymetrix 1.5 with OpenPLi. It works fine with OpenPLi 4 from May and makes problems since the last few versions of OpenPLi 4.

 

You told me, I should "Ask whoever made it to make it OpenPLi compatible". Don't know whoever is.

 

Got no error messages or don't know where to find errorlogs.

 

What it helps? don't know, what just told you this cause xtrendalliance 4.1 seems to be based on openpli...

If you got no error messages, what did you get then? What is the definition of "it doesn't work"?

 

If the box restarts due to a skin error, you can try a login using telnet as soon as you start the box, and once logged in, immediately stop enigma using the commad "init 4". Once done, you can start enigma manually using "enigma2". it will then dump all log on the console, and you can see every error. If needed you can use ^C to abort enigma and get back to the command line.

Nothing, as I said! I'm not one of the developer of OpenPLi, so do not heck me if the system gives me no error output.
