Littlesat had to revert my patch
The problem is, that I had also made changes to the openembedded git. This works locally without problems, but Pli cannot commit the patches, because it's not their git.
I have to rewrite my patch. I hope that I can do it in the next days. So sorry guys, you have to wait some days longer (or use my image).

so i flashed now the image and all tested files mkv, avi works great incl. one that completely do not run!!!

just two issues i found:

1) oscam (_ymod) does not start automatically after reboot. need to start manual

2) the et9x00 is no more visable unter windows7 - network

 

any solutions here!?

Since both issues dont have anything to do with the gstreamer patch. Just use this image to test gstreamer patch.

The network issue is related with workgroup settings of samba and the Ymod well... Its an unsupported softcam you shoud be able to fix the startupscripts for it yourself.

 

If you cant manage to fix it: just wait for the reworked gstreamer patches to be integrated into openpli repository. I expect this to happen soon.

The new gstreamer version is now included in the nightly builds.
So if you want to test it, make an online update or flash latest image.

I cannot do that. That log was from someone else in our internal forum.

But antipop just also reported an oepsie, with youtube. Probably he can give a link.

I'm scared that some openembeded patches are required. So it could be I have to revert again

I don't believe that changes to openembedded are necessary. In my tests there were no problems. Malakudi said also that mp3s are working.
But I have also feedback that there are problems.

Strange thing. Maybe not all libraries were exchanged during online backup?
Did somebody test flashing a new image?

Can you look into /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10 whether there are not updated files?

 

hmm, the only one I see not updated today is libgstxt.so

not sure, but gst-plugin-libxt may have something to do with playing network streams?

Better not revert. Now most mkv and avi files play OK for the first time since very long time ago. video files are more important than mytube and mp3 files. And we can still try to fix the new issues.
