I have no new libgstxt.so. But this cannot be the problem, because I have also an old version and no problems.
So the libs seems to be ok.

Another idea: How do you play back media files? With a plugin or with the build-in mediaplayer?

Just declare a forum that requires the installation of new software.
So it will be easier.

Dima73: thanks for the test!

Have you used before the flash a plugin to play back media files?

When it makes something defect that works before we should revert especially in case a solution is not found in short time...

Attached a few mp3s samples that do induce the oepses...

all 5 samples playing fine on my et5000,updated @ this morning....

PS.Using build-in mediaplayer

Streams (from Greek Channels) are working without problems.

MP3 ok (samples.rar) & Flac ok (http://www.linnrecor...-testfiles.aspx).

Ogg ok (http://www.vorbis.com/music/).

Test on videos samples : http://www.auby.no/files/video_tests/ Files with problem: Birds and Matrix (also the sound of Monsters because is dts...).

Everything tested using build-in mediaplayer.

Files with problems... Do you mean not any more a problem?
It seems that users with oepsie crashes need to reflash...!

Maybe the users with problems have the updated glib that was later reverted. My image was flashed about 2 months ago, and online update since then (vu+ solo2 and et4000). All mp3 files played fine.

But there was never a pli build from our server with that reverted stuff... So if so it must be a home brewed image...

If I remember well, If you got the update with glib, there was no way to go back without reflash. Maybe some boxes still have the non-reverted glib,

But how is glib related to gstreamer?.... Unless it could be a look-a-like mechanism

I am talking about this commit: http://sourceforge.n...497aee9f6bf2ec/

If someone flashed before this commit, he still has glib 2.34.2, which was causing some problems with gstreamer if I remember well. Maybe bugs seen now are related to this.

I believe when you had that bad glib version, you'd already have plenty of serious gstreamer problems, so I think everybody who suffered from that, would have reflashed right away.
Don't recall the exact details, but the result was pretty bad as far as I remember.

Anyway, maybe someone that has problems can send the output of "opkg list_installed" to check installed package versions.
