Autofs is not present on PB. It doesn't work (correctly) for me, on OpenPLi (and OpenPLi based) images, when I test them, so...

I suppose you have enough knowledge to be able to sort it out, so it works they way you expect it to... ;)

It's differently structured, as I explained before, when it comes to mounting/autofs.

CIFS and NFS are included. As a client. Samba server needs to be installed if you wanna be a server with CIFS.

I do not know for sure which of my boxes (or if it's a laptop) is keeping the connection alive with my Synology NAS...

at first, you must set synology to cca 1 minut sleep time, because 10minuts is wrong for any looking for this problem.

It is not possible from web (here is minimum 10min), you must set it in DS's linux. I do not know, if you know, how it make:

- enable ssh in DS terminal (via WEB), login into DS via putty as root, install midnight commander (ipkg install mc), run mc, open /etc/synoinfo.conf with F4 and here change item (only this item):  standbytimer="xx" to standbytimer="1", save and restart DS.

Then begin looking, if it is PC, box1, box2 ...unplug always one of it from net and wait for sleep and wait next 2-3 mins, if it will be still in sleep.

It's simpler, as I don't set it up to do anything with/on the web.

Only home network and that can be easily sorted out but...

I was never really interested so far... But now I will!

All the boxes are set to 5 minutes HDD kill time.

OKI, this evening I might try... ;) Cheers! :)

I think mine are queering the NAS, too, since I set them up via Network scanning plugin... It is definitely so if you set the option to use NAS as a HDD! Not sure if you do not do that...

Also, I can see the difference when I start a box and my laptop is not on - it keeps searching and searching and searching.... Because I set up the home network so that they are all directed to one another and allowed into one another etc.

Hence, it seems to me that they are constantly queering one another... But I am not absolutely sure - I must check this first...

DS210j > enter via browser > Control Panel > HDD Hibernation > minimum is 10 minutes, for both options (OS v. 4.2).

Edit: I am lying - I set up Squeeze Centre package, so it does have some connection with the web...
