Hello' I'm looking for a way to remove or just hide some plugins showed on the main menu. I like to have it only on plugin list if possible. Thanks

I think the only way to remove the line from the plugin itself wich put the plugin in main menu

if the plugin is closed source no simple way to do that

You can use 'MenuSort'.

-to change the position of a menu item: select an item with OK, move it to your desired position with UP/DOWN, than OK.

-your case:  BLUE to show or hide a menu item.

Hi:

I have a Gigablue Quad Plus with OpenATV 4.2

Menusort version is 0.2.0-20110827 and customized menu changes are lost after reboot.

Any help?

Thanks in advance and sorry if posted in the wrong place.

I think you should address yourself to the O-ATV forum.
BTW: I also have a Quad Plus on O-ATV 4.2 using Menusort (and Pluginhide): both work fine and settings are not lost on reboot.

First a good plugin should not put itself in the main menu... If so it should be made configurable from the plugin.... What plugin(s) are you talking about...

That doesn't help much does it?

Anyway: the two plugins I mentioned are very useful for customising all menu's. IMHO this should be embedded functionality.

e.g. I use MenuSort to sort the ordering in all menu's and to hide entries I never use. And PluginHider can be used to hide all kinds of plugins and extensions I don't normally use (and I don't want my family to use).

The two plugins you mentioned do work, but they way they are build is terrible... How it is made standardwise if fine for me...

And it is easy to make it optional in the plugins.... But someone has to alter the code a bit...

The order of all the (sub) menu's is not configurable nor can entries be hidden. And as usual one 'standard' doesn't fit all.
And the same applies to the functionality of the plugin PluginHider.

And the may be awful in your opinion, but I can't find any better ones. And they work flawless, and that's what counts.

And in addition we are noted by the creator of plugin sort and menu hide that we are not allowed to offer it on non dmm boxes. So we simply do not put in within our feeds... So we can re-invent that wheel again, when we want that feature... And that is where it did start we did not include these plugins coming from schwerkraft....

That's why embedding such functionality would be great.
No ugly plugins, no dependency on limiting licenses.

Yep, that's always the case when somebody says 'don't use mine'.
Good open source practice ........

But in this case 'inventing' is a big word :)

You don;t need this app.... menu sort/hide is embeded in OpenPLi.... You can enable it from a config and once enabled you can press the blue button to configure a specific menu... The blue button is hidden (not shown on the UI).
