Hello' I just noticed some enigma2 crash playing avi or general divx files. My Et9000 has last updates with kernel 3.8.7. No crash playing recording.

Please, do you know about anything general with last updates or I should consider something wrong in my configuration? I will try later to restore some old backup.

Best way is new installation. Or if you have an backup from September 2012, then flash it and make an update.
Exchanging the libs seems to work, but there might be side effects (but until now nobody reported side effects).

I have a vu+duo with latest updated image and most of my videos are crashing my box

not directly recorded from channels but all movies I've FTP to my harddrive

 

what dated image should i reflash with? please

If it crashed, you must have a crashlog (in /media/hdd), without knowing what the cause is, nobody can give you decent advice.

Looks like the glib/gstreamer issue.
Please do a
ls /usr/lib/*3400*
in telnet. If files are found, install a new image (see thread mentioned in post 2). Or of you have install an old backup (before November 2012) and do an online update.

Yes I did read the thread, most of my movies (including avi movies) that I have FTP to my vu+Duo crash my box when starting them, that is the reason why I came to this thread.

Re-reading your question, I now see you already know you are supposed to re-flash, but you don't know with which version.

Any recent version should do, but I suggest you use todays'

Apologies for drawing my conclusion a bit too quickly, just blame it on the fact that we have been answering countless similar questions over the last couple of days...

In my case just flashing last openpli version was fine. I would advice to do so.
