I do not exactly picon in chanel list but yours and MiLo changes to the code. Do they are not affected text background when there is markup?

There could indeed be an effect on rendering backgrounds with blending... But that is due to milo's changes... As far i understood following the standaards it was always wrong, but some skin builders did work around this.... In addition is do not see how that text should be blended over the png...

Thank you, for me it is not so important, but I hope that sometime MiLo invent how it can be solved.

- Simplest way to do this is to assign just enough space (icons are 100x70 pixels, so 50x35 would work well for example).

I am trying this 'picons in channel list' feature on the DB8000.

I create my own picons (100x60) and they look tiny in the channel list, but look OK when displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Also, the satellite icon is easily recognisable, but the cable picon is not that clearly recognisable.

So, a couple of questions :

1) Is it possible to use a diffent set of picons for the channe list than the ones used at the bottom of the screen (by pointing to a different location) ?

2) If the picons are autoscaling, so I gather that by increasing the font size in the skin, this would increase the size of the picons as well ?

I render my picons with a raytracing program (Povray), so that gives me some flexibility in the rendering, so that a different picon size should not be that much of an issue.

This is how it looks on my screen.

The picons are a bit small in the channel list, and the cable picon (where is this stored ?) is not clear.

They adjust automatically on the item height of the channellist... And they are somewhere stored on /picon.

Hmm, used the fontmagnifier plugin to resize the fonts, and when they were very large the picons were the right size, but this doesn't seem useful to me, it also seemed to slow down browsing the bouquets.

Found the location of the service type icons, they are not picons, and are saved in /usr/share/enigma2/skin_default/icons

The files are called :

ico_dvb_c-fs8.png

ico_dvb_s-fs8.png

ico_dvb_t-fs8.png

The one that I found to be unclear (the cable one), I changed with a screenshot I grabbed from the cable scan plugin, scaled down to the 25x25, and I changed the white to green, so that contrasts a bit with the default satellite icon.

I'm quite happy with the result.
