I suggest it is better to make a fix in opkg then inducing a work-a-round...

and as far I remember this was done once by pieterg... but it seems this issue came back somehow...

I fixed some opkg performance issues back then, but I could not debug the picon update, because we did not have a reproducable update producure at the time.
If we have now, I'd be happy to put a bit more time in.

I tried build under 12.04LTD openpli4, but for xp1000 and dm800se i got error:  ERROR: Checksum failure fetching http://kernel.org/pub/linux/...

I changed manually checksums in for linux-libc-headers-...bb ... could be there some problems in future ?

Took the plunge yesterday and flashed OpenPLi 4. I was unable to install sundtek from the feed (it tries to download but the file does not exist).

Downloaded it from sundtek's site and installed it via CLI and all seems to be working. So far haven't noticed any problems.

I installed yesterday PLiV4  on my SOLO2 and I did not encounter any difficulty with Suntek.
I just had to manually start the tuner, now everything seems to work correctly.
Thank you to the team for their work :)

Perhaps a parallel build issue?
Does it occur again when you restart the build?

I flashed the OpenPLi-4.0-beta-vuultimo-20130901_usb at my Ultimo.

When checking for updates every time the system says that there are new packages ( 1 package ) for updates. I make updates, reboot box, but the system still says that there are new packages.

can you make a voice recording of what it says? Maybe then it is possible to figure out what the problem is in this case...

Hi,

try opkg update and then opkg upgrade with Telnet there you will see the reason for the single update. Normally it is a dependancy clash and can be fixed with --force-overwrite

ciao

Sorry, but - no. (and it was not a voice , and text)

I have already flashed the other image.

I install OpenPli-4.0 on my Ultimo yesterday, everything's going well.

Just one question, where can I find picons for Cable channels, (i.e for France Numéricâble, i don't see any of those on the Rytek Library.

Thanks to the Team

Hi,

I install OpenPli 4.0 on my Xtrend ET-9000, runs smoothly but I point out this:

root@et9x00:~# opkg update

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

And going into Menu - Parameter - System - Advanced video settings, give a very ugly screen (see attached screenshot).

I can confirm this two errors on my ET9x00 (latest update 1.9.2013).
Most problems can be solved simply by a closer look.
