ask sundtek

would be nice to know what the problem is before asking them. Don't feel like "upgrading" to OpenPLi 4 if I known my Sundtek won't work.

And as OpenPLi say 4 is (currently) basicly 3 with a better/faster build environment I wonder why the plugin would have stopped working.

Did you fix your problem? I'm not sure if it was you but someone posted some logfile which showed up an incomplete installation (which might have been caused due full flash or aborted installation?)

The driver requires 2.5mb, there is some disk free check in the installer so an aborted installation might be a reason, maybe even a network problem.

Without the proper openssl library it won't work.

I believe mgcamd needs openssl 0.9.7 library.

You can try linking the openssl 1.0 library to the openssl 0.9.7 name.

Just wait - i think there will be a new version compiled for ssl 1.0 in the next time.
Most problems can be solved simply by a closer look.

When I want to update online, it says there are 6 updates. However, when I choose to update, it does not update and

says 0 files were updated. I get this error for about 3 days.

In background this happens:

root@xp1000:~# opkg update

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

Deprecated version constraint '>' was used with the same meaning as '>='. Use '>>' for LATER constraint.

6 lines of "Deprecated" makes the update output parser think there are 6 updates found :)

So if online updates tells you 6 updates are waiting: just exit and dont update at all.

I 'fixed' the packages causing these warnings. The 3rd party feed should be updated now. So please try again...

Thank you very much. It solved the problem.

I am having a picons problem. When I tried to install picons online using install plugins, HD transparent picons work but tv.east.7 picons do not work.

It seems it installs but picons for 7East can not be seen.

Is it something wrong with the plugin or something has to be done. There were no problems with OpenPLİ 3 and this plugin.

What plugin installs picons? What do you mean by "does not work"? Have you tried just installing from the built-in downloader? Which is "the plugin"?

My general problem with picons is that once a pkg of picons is aboard and it gets upgraded eventually it will take a whole shitload of time, lets say more than 30 minutes.

So now I do the following:

opkg update

opkg list-upgradable                      (inspect if no upgradable picon package -> if present first do opkg remove enigma2-plugin-picons-tv-ocram.hd.reflection-black)

opkg upgrade

opkg install enigma2-plugin-picons-tv-ocram.hd.reflection-black

If I do it this way the picons get installed in a minute... if I'm stupid enough to upgrade a picon package it takes more than 30 minutes (and counting!)

Perhaps something like that can be done by update script in the menu?

I suggest it is better to make a fix in opkg then inducing a work-a-round...

and as far I remember this was done once by pieterg... but it seems this issue came back somehow...

If I remove the ocram-hd-reflection-black pkg first and then reinstall, it only takes about 1 min!

I use the built-in downloader. I go to plugins press green button to download plugins. I choose picons and install plugins.

It installs every picons I choose without any problem. I installed first ocram-hd-reflection-black and and works perfect. I can see the picons when I zap channels.

But ocram-hd-reflection-black picon plugin does not have picons for 7East. So I installed tv-east-7 picon plugin in the same way using the built-in downloader.

It was installed OK but when I zap 7East chanells, I can not see the picons. This is what I mean by "does not work". There was no problem with OpenPLİ 3.0 and this picon plugin.

Thank you very much in advance.

You can do this when you know that there is an update for the ocram-hd-reflection-black pkg.

However, when you try to update online, you do not know what packages have updates.

If there is an update for picons pkg, you need to wait a long time until update process is over.

Thanks. I tried rebooting as well, but it did not work. Ocram-hd-reflection-black picons plugin works directly ater installation without rebooting.

Took the plunge yesterday and flashed OpenPLi 4. I was unable to install sundtek from the feed (it tries to download but the file does not exist).

Downloaded it from sundtek's site and installed it via CLI and all seems to be working. So far haven't noticed any problems.

I just installed OpenPLi 4 on my ET9000. Everything works, only my share to my DM8000 doesn't work. There is a network connection (I can reach the 9000 with my computer) and also remotestreamconvert works (my 9000 displays channels through the 8000 tuners). If I flash back to 3 the shares do work again. Anybody any idea what the problem could be?

Anything known about this problem yet? I'd like to test 4.0 with you, but can't as long as CIFS doesn't work
