So we have lock but no channel found.

Maybe dvbsnoop can help to see why we are not getting PAT? Anyone to help here?

Here is the channel list from the Spark, perhaps ready made list will work ?

or maybe something useful can be gained from lamedb.

< 443.757> [eDVBChannel] OURSTATE: ok
< 443.757> [eDVBDemux] open demux /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0
< 443.758> [eDVBSectionReader] DMX_SET_FILTER pid=0
< 443.758> [eDVBFrontend] sleep 500ms
< 447.760> [eDVBScan] got pat, err -1

This means you are not getting any data on pid 0 (which is PAT). Which means that the demuxer doesn't deliver any data from the tuner.

Which would ensure a driver problem? Because the signal is strong and steadily locked, zero ber!

I can't tell, I am just explaining what is the issue. Probably tuner/demodulator are not configured correctly and they capture an empty PLS.

12606V has two multistreams (ids 1 and 2), none of them is receivable with TBS? 11179V has three multistreams (ids 4,5 and 12) and it also has ACM (according to Lyngsat). Are all 3 RAI multistreams receivable?

Yes everything else is received instantly no problem! Only Mediaset is problematic! MIS IDs don't matter if one can download channels the other will as well! I come to think that maybe TBS has a difficulty in receiving PAT when there is PLS Scrambling with SR larger than 30000 but RAI works flawlessly on all its transponders!

You should test the TBS 5925 on a Linux pc to see if there is any difference. If it doesn't work there, we can fill a bug report for TBS.

I am very pleased to see that the issue MIS, 16/32APSK and ACM/VCM on Enigma² is finally taken seriously. Unfortunately I cannot help as not being an owner of the TBS 5925 and not having the appropriate skills for coding.

Owning a TBS 6925 I am wondering if there is a box which transforms it to a USB device which could be used like the TBS 5925.

Keep on the good work guys.

Best regards from me.

I wanted to help make it possible but owning a TBS5925 was not easy, it's not a cheap card! Now, I can't try linux as I'm totally unfamiliar with setting it up especially for watching TV, but perhaps I could use Enigma2pc and see what happens!

Hi,

With the help of crazycat on TBS forum we add the missing "TS Sync" patch and now everything runs smootly on 5W, 9E etc.

So the TBS5925 is now fully functional on SatDreamGr image using osmini (also firmware now downloads automatically when select TBS from menu).

We have tested with success TBS5980 on osmini as well. There is an problem though, the CI refuses to initialize on reboot, only if you power recycle the TBS5980 and reboot the STB the CI initialized without kernel crash.

The following usb cards are the ones with STV chipset (and MIS/PLS).

TBS5925 (OK! 100% working)
TBS5980 (OK! CI initilization issues on reboot)
Prof Revolution DVB-S2 7500 USB (??? a volunteer with hardware required)
Technisat SkyStar USB HD (??? a volunteer with hardware required)

I will create also pull request with the extra patch for "TS Sync" for other popular boxes in the following days.

Why don't you install it from feeds?

A video showcasing channel scan and zapping between MIS channels using TBS5925 on OSmini will be up later! I am beyond excited with the performance after the TS sync patch!

Where exactly is it located in feeds? I looked for it and did not find it.

opkg install dvbsnoop

it is not a plugin, so you can't install it through the GUI.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Thanks Athoik, is there a way at the moment for Solo4k ?

TV = Solo4K 2xDVB-S2 (FBC) + 2xDVB-T2 + TBS5925
Tuner A = Multisat Indoor Home Made 10 LNB 52°e > 5°w-Tuner B = Fibo 90cm USALS = 68°e > 45°w

The patch is already integrated in experimental Satdreamgr for Solo4k.

Patches for VU+ are here waiting for accept: https://github.com/v...-vuplus/pull/12
Patches for Xtrend commited and accepted: https://github.com/X...a-xtrend/pull/9

So when those patches accepted at least for machines with enabled TBS drivers you will get those cards working.

With experimental SatDreamGr you will also get automatically the firmware and patched Enigma ready for MIS/PLS.

Great news, thanks to all for persevering with this and over coming the final obstacle.

Is the TBS5980 equal in performance to the TBS5925 if not using the CI** as it's alot cheaper to buy ?

**I'm assuming we're talking about the inbuilt CI of the TBS5980 ?
