for Dream it is a real licence problem. For transportation Dolby Digital Plus Streams over DVI you need HDCP Version 1.3. Dreambox DM8000 use DVI without Content Protection HDCP. So you will not get a licence from Dolby.

I have the following issue using latest OpenPli 4.0 on et9000 regarding AC3+ audio...
If i use the optical out, there is sound on AC3+ channels, but using direct HDMI connection to home cinema or TV there isn't. At the same time, AC3 and DTS is going well through the HDMI. The problem is only the AC3+ audio. Is this implemented into the et9000 drivers or not (to go through the HDMI)? Thanks in advance!

are you using the downmix setting?
When downmix is enabled, both spdif and hdmi should output stereo pcm.
When downmix is disabled, spdif should output ac3+ downmixed to ac3 (ac3+ bitrate is too high for spdif), and hdmi should output ac3+.
Perhaps if the other end (tv or av receiver) does not support hdmi 1.3, ac3+ might not work because of the limited bitrate (I'm not sure what would happen in that case).

No, i'm not using the downmix settings. If i use it, there is no problem, AC3+ sound is going through HDMI, downmixed to stereo. If downmix is switched off, then there is no sound via HDMI, but via spdif is OK, on home cinema. I'm using HDMI 1.3 cable and the TV is Samsung F7000 series with 3d blueray homecinema. Both of them support HDMI 1.3.
It would be nice if somebody else can test this with et9000 on other homecinema. For example on C+ Action HD on Astra 19E.

That channel is scrambled, and I don't have a subscription.
I do have an old france 2 hd recording with ac3+ though, when I play that my av receiver (connected via hdmi) shows 'dolby digital plus', so I guess it is working.

Hi,
I have no problem with AC3+ channels (french one on Eutelsat 5A 5.0W) with an ET-9000 connected with HDMI to my Onkyo amplifier.
The only thing is that there is a delay when I switch to such channel, first I have image with no sound then a few seconds later the sound is working, look like it needs time to sync audio and video.
Check that the HDMI cable that you use is foreseen for HDMI 1.3

There are new drivers out, since yesterday, maybe there are fixing above issues.
dreambox-dvb-modules: update hw drivers for dm500hd, dm800se, dm7020hd, dm500hdv2, dm800sev2
- reverted to old audio core because of audio lost during skip fwd/bwd with some AVRs
- fixed broken transition between different audio types with enabled passthrough

i have flashed the Openpli from today and DD+ on C+ACCION HD doesn´t work !
On the new newenigma Image DD+ works fine !

Then they either didn't include the previous update or they already have the lateste update.
Either way, simply wait until we've updated the drivers to today's state.

Check for ServusTV HD Deutschland
Press the yellow button and select audio track 4: AC3+
I have no sound on it on the Vu+ Duo².

Same here on Ultimo.
But on SOLO2 & DUO2 the AC3+ track is silent ......
