In the menu, they appear as DVB.

... because the loggings say teletext subtitles at some point.

BTW does the channel also broadcast teletext subs?

Yes, I have seen

BTW does the channel also broadcast teletext subs?

I have the choice between two DVB subs in the menu. I can send a screenshot later if you need. Is there any way to display stream info?

You might want to try page 058 / 858 on teletext.

Page 858 did not show anything.
And I could not access page 058 (because 0 is not accepted as first digit and if I enter only 5 and 8, it keeps waiting for a third digit :)).

Yes apparently. Even though it is advertised as such.

Please be patient, I will look into the issue. It's only that I have no experience with DVB subs in enigma, only teletext.

As all of you keep omitting actual channels this problem occur on, I must make an educated guess.

I've selected channels from provider "CSAT". Most of them I can't watch, but there interesting thing is that most of them have teletext subtitles, not dvb. TF1 HD is an exception, but these DVB subs are displayed correctly (which I can confirm because CSAT is as nice as to broadcast the subs unencrypted).

Without additional information I cannot proceed.

Ah okay.

Please give me some channels or services if you like, where the problems occur.

Something like TF1 HD on 19.2 from provider CSAT. Transponder frequency would be ideal but the name + position + provider should be enough to get me started.

Ah ok.

Sorry I just saw your post... Here are some services concerned :

- Canal+ HD - Astra 19.2E - 12012V - CSAT Provider

- Canal+ Series HD - Astra 19.2E - 12012V - CSAT Provider

I'm sure these one have problems with DVB subtitles on Enigma2 receivers.

Other Canal+ HD channels (Family, Décale, Sport) should be affected too. They are all on the same frequency.

Hope that you will find something useful and get rid of this annoying *too fast* subtitles :)

Interesting, at this moment the subtitles (DVB) on Canal+ Series HD is correct. On Canal+ HD every now and then the phenomenon appears.

I have ruled out a few possible "simple" causes now (bummer), so it must he something more complex

The main disadvantage of debugging graphical subtitles (DVB) compared to teletext subtitles, is that you never know what subtitles comes by.

I will have another shot at it shortly, but it won't be solved like "tomorrow"...
