There is no OpenPLi 4 for clones either.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Broehaha... Anyone can create a file and give it a name. If it is not on our website, it isn't OpenPLi, it is as simple as that.

Not on 7.0-rc by mistake? Is your package index up to date? If not, you need to update it before you install, using "opkg update".

No. It's 7.0 release.

I did opkg update && opkg upgrade this morning and got:

And there are no more updates waiting?

In many cases, it is not a good idea to update from the commandline, opkg's dependency management sucks, it installs (and more important deinstalls) in the wrong order, causing all sorts of misery like this.

what does

opkg info libcurl4

tell you?

Because it is in the feed, and its version hasn't changed since January 10th.

Status: install ok not-installed

This is the problem, it means the package is in some sort of half-installed state.

Try:

opkg remove curl
opkg remove libcurl4
opkg install curl

to reinstall it.

Try adding "--force-remove --force-depends" to the two remove commands?

Then your opkg database is truely corrupt. A new flash would probably be the quickest fix.

I managed to solve the problem.

I edited /var/lib/opkg/status erasing libssh2-1 and libcurl4 entries.

After that, transmission installed correctly.

Thanks for the help.

Transmission works fine but, since we're dealing with embedded systems, it would be better to use --enable-lightweight with configure to reduce CPU usage.

That just sets "no encryption" as preference (why would you want that) and reduces some disk buffers. So it's not recommended to do that, even the most low-end boxes have plenty RAM for transmission's full mode.
