Important infomation

Dear Xtrend friends

Due to several big problems with the manufactory of Xtrend we decided to close the board next Friday at 23:59.
You will be able to read the posts but are not able to post or open new threads.
We tried our best the last months to solved these problems. Unfortunately without success. So we have to close the board end of November.

Best regards

Your Board Team

quote from Xtrend homepage

Dear Xtrend Users,

Unfortunately, there have been rumors and confusions that Xtrend will not continue due to the closing of an

"unofficial forum".

Please note that the closing of an unofficial forum has nothing to do with Xtrend.

Xtrend will launch new models very soon.

We cannot wait to present you the new innovative technology through our newest Xtrend models.

We are very sorry to announce that due to long quality assurance and quality management controls, the launch of

these new models have been delayed.

You will find more news and information about Xtrend on our official Facebook page.

Thank you for your interest and participation in Xtrend development.

We hope to launch the new models as soon as possible!

Sincerely,

Official Xtrend Team

You can not compare the two.

DMM is a settopbox manufacturer, OpenPLi produces settopbox firmware, but both provide support to the users of their products via a forum.

I am not aware of an "Xtrend Alliance" settopbox, nor of "Xtrend Alliance" settopbox firmware. So it's just a forum. I can start a "Ferarri Forum" tomorrow, doesn't mean I bought an Italian car manufacturer (or that my real name is Enzo)...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Thanks, I am aware now.

From what I can see: a complete fork of OpenPLi, with no modifications, and a skin. And hardly any activity since the github account was created in 2012.

The official XTrend website doesn't say anything about the xtrend-alliance, the post you refer to is about the closure of Ferarri3005's forum, where Xtrend states they have nothing to do with it.

So what exactly does this alliance do (an alliance between whom exactly)? Just curious...

xtreand-alliance uses oe-alliance and this is currently owned by VU+ as you now need to contact VU+ for a password to download their closed source archives to be able to build images for any oe-alliance based xtrend-alliance image.

......oe-alliance and this is currently owned by VU+.......

Please stop starting this kind of rumours. VU+ has nothing to do with the OE-A.

source of this information? AFAIK this is b*llsh*t. Search for "oealliance git" and you get what you want.

ciao
