Coded = Drivers = Manufacture issue.
Although i think YouTube started providing HD videos using DASH streaming technology. Currently there is an DASH implementation on GStreamer 1.X.

Youtube works well on 6.0 rc no need additional patchs.
but no 1080P, intstead of 1080p or above, the biggest one is 720p.
Gstreamer updated 1.12.1 on 6.0 rc, how can we activiate DASH streaming in order to Youtube supporting 1080p and above video.

Install serviceapp from the plugin selection menu.
It will automatically install exteplayer3 and gstplayer as well.
Then go to Menu -> Settings -> System -> ServiceApp
And set exteplayer3 as the default playe backend.
Now try 1080p youtube
I installed serviceapp from plugins->systemplugins, and select exteplayer3, but not found different in YouTube playback.

Do you know about what are you write? First check then write.
@kokikoku
Because there is need to provide valid dash link to exteplayer3.
You can use youtube from IPTVPlayer plugin. You need enable DASH format in host configuration.
IPTVPlayer extract 1080p DASH links and give you possiblity to play them via exteplayer3.

I think MastaG's response is because he's using OpenPLi develop, which has a newer gstreamer, with dash working...
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Well @MastaG wrote about exteplayer3 not about gstreamer.
Anyway, if you want to play 1080p video quality then you need provide such link to player.
Plugin is responsible for links extraction and providing them to player.
When you provide link to 720p video then player will play it, when you provide link to 1080p video then player will play it.
That's all.
IPTVPlayer can extract links to 1080p quality from youtube service.

Never succeed to play back by YouTube on IPTVPlayer.
There are only three options when I open YouTube on IPTVPlayer: User Links, Search, Search history.
Does it mean I must edit links by myself?
It is a pity that I cannot read your forums because I didn't find English section on your forums.

To be honest I not checked this because I do not have set-top-box which can handle such video.
But as I know youtube not support H.265/HEVC coded.
So, even when you get link with resolution bigger than FHD it will be codec with H.264 and as I know currents 4K receivers can not handle H.264 codec with resolution higher then FHD.
Am i right?
YouTube can also provide links to video which use vp9 codecs, but I do not know if present on the market set-top-boxes support such codec with resolution higher than FHD?

I don't understand what problem do you have to find video using search function?

Once again I not support IPTVPlayer on this forum.

I do not know what you remember. But mpeg-dash fix in ffmpeg have nothing to do with this.extplayer3 can handle separate link for video and for audio. This is how it is used for to handle 1080p videos from youtube. As I know service app does not support of separate url for video and audio. And probably YouTube plugin not support such double links.Anyway, it is still possible to prepare one single link for dash manifest which will be handled by both exteplayer and gstreamer with dash support.@athoikTo be honest I not checked this because I do not have set-top-box which can handle such video.

Set-top-box based on android maybe have opportunity to use vp9 codes.

I really not understand. I gave you link to "English IPTVPlayer development thread":so what problem do you have?
I do search, but the search result always is ' No item to display. Please press to refresh.' I select https validate 'yes' on setting, but same search result.
On the latest version ‘169.00.06.00’, there is no 'Allow dash format' option on Youtube.
I tested webstream -> Weebtv, Apple Trailers, They works well.
Localmedia and Apple Trailers, when video aspect > 16:9, it still displays full on 16:9 screen, same bug with Openpli internal media player.
