Yes I know.

The vodafone.gr website developped a problem.  While I still can grab this on my own PC, I cannot grab anymore from it with the server which does the Greek grabbing.  This server is located 250km from where I live.  And I do not own it.  So I have to do whit what I am given, and at the moment I can noet do anything about it.

(One solution to this problem is using a PHP script.  But for that I need a working webserver on the PC itself.  But obviously I cannot install that on this PC.  At home I have a webserver running on my NAS)

I will fix TLC though (in English)

As you can understand I cannot squeeze blood out of that stone just for 3 channels.

I tried to find the channel.  I think it is this one:

0.8°W  4Thor 6  12303.00 V 31 K2 Europe DVB-S2 8PSK 27500 5/6 68.2 Mbps  94 2  KingOfSat charts update form
DTX     PowerVu  3001  3000  3001 eng
                             3004 hun
                             3005 cze   3091   3000      2015-09-19

So I checked the webpages for the Czech and Hungarian EPG.  Unfortunally EPG in Czech or Hungarian.

Hi!

I am using http://rytecepg.ipse...ytecGR_Basic.xz for EPG on my IPTV app of my Android box and I have a few issues:

1. As I have seen it has already been mentioned, but the issue is still there. Channel "DTX" (Discovery Turbo Xtra) shows the EPG of channel "IDX" (Investigation Discovery Xtra).

2. There is no EPG for "FOX Life".

3. Cyprus channels "Ant1" and "Extra" show the EPG of the two Greek channels that have the same name. Fortunately, this issue doesn't happen with channel "Alpha" that both countries have, because the Cyprus channel "Alpha" has the display name "Alpha Cyprus" to distinguish it from the Greek channel with the same name. The same distinction should be made also for "Ant1" and "Extra".

I hope you can fix them! Thanks in advance!

IPTV on an Android box......

yeah, I cannot be hold responsible for this as some channels show wrong EPG.

The only thing I can do is linking the correct channel to the correct service ref.  Android machines do not use service refs, so they link the EPG via the channel name.

So.....  It is in your definitions you have to look for wrong links.

Hi again and thanks for your quick reply!

I am not totally aware of how that .xz link works, but I can understand that issue 1 is something that you can't do about it. And I also understand the importance of writing the channel name correctly, so I'm sure that they are written correctly.:-)

Also, issue 2 is very weird. Channel name is correct, EPG for Fox Life is there in the xml file (of the .xz link), but still EPG is not shown.

About issue 3, I guess that the only necessary thing is to change the channel names in the xml file (add the word "Cyprus" to the channel names, in order to distinguish it from the Greek channels with the same names, just like "Alpha Cyprus"). I'm not sure though, of course! :-)

About issue 4, there is EPG for that channel at w ww.cablenetcy.net, from where the xml grabs EPG for Cyprus channels. The issue is that the channel is missing from the xml.

I hope that those can be fixed. If I can help with anything, I'd be glad to!

Many thanks again!

I have downloaded the xz and unzipped it and the changes aren't there in the xml file. Should I wait for some time?

Would it be possible to correct issue 2 by trying another EPG provider?

EPG for "FOX Life" is also available at http://www.novaguide.gr and at http://www.vodafone.gr

And please could you also grab EPG for "FOX" for conformity, since each provider uses different ways to show EPG.

Also, http://www.cablenetcy.net shows EPG in English for channels "TLC", "Science (Discovery)", "ID (Discovery) IDX HD".

Could you please grab EPG from http://www.vodafone.gr which has EPG in Greek for those channels?

Thanks for all your help!

I stopped using vodafone.gr due to repeated problems with it.  Going off-line at regular intervals.

Besides I cannot open vodafone.gr on the actual grab PC.  This a Windows Server 2003.  For grabbing vodafone I need .NET framework 4.5, but it is not possible to install this version on this Windows.

As for the foxlife schedule:  I have compared the schedule in the greek XMLTV file with the schedule published on novaguide.  It is the same.

So grabbing from a different website would not solve the problem.  Something else is going on.

I'm sorry to hear that about Vodafone EPG. Thanks anyway!

EPG for Fox Life is also available at http://www.cyta.com.cy if you want to give it a try.

Also, I have noticed another issue today. As I said before, I have IPTV app on my Android box and the app grabs EPG from your xz link. Today I noticed that for some time there wasn't EPG for "Rik 1" and "Sigma". I cross-checked with cablenet website and I saw that there were some TV shows listed at the website's EPG, but not at the app's EPG. For Rik 1 there weren't any TV shows listed between 5.15 am and 9.05 am on my app's EPG and for Sigma no shows between 3.20 am and 11.30 am. What might caused that?

If it's an issue of cablenet's EPG, you could also try http://www.cyta.com.cy

By the way, the changes you have already made haven't been applied yet. Should I wait a little more?

Thanks again!

Cyta.com.cy:

Some time ago I tried to write a grabber for it.  However there were problems.

I will check that again.  I think I fixed it, however I am not using it at the moment.

However it will not solve your problem for Fox Life, as the schedule in the greek XMLTV file compares to the schedule given on Novaguide.

The grab this morning:

[  Debug ] 16711 shows in 90 channels
[  Debug ] 1 updated shows
[  Debug ] 2536 new shows added
[  Info  ]
[  Info  ]
[        ] Job finished at 09/07/2018 02:45:15 done in 54m 24s

The grab finished normally.  So I have to look at the individual channels:

[  Info  ] (   4/90  ) CABLENETCY.NET -- chan. (xmltv_id=RIK1.cy) -- mode Incremental
[  Info  ] 0.03 sec/update
[  Info  ]    Summary for update of       RIK1.cy
[  Info  ]      missing shows added       0
[  Info  ]      changed shows updated     0
[  Info  ]      new shows added           2
[  Info  ]      unchanged shows inspected 119
[  Info  ]      total after update        123

[  Info  ] (   7/90  ) CABLENETCY.NET -- chan. (xmltv_id=SigmaTV.cy) -- mode Incremental
[  Info  ] 0.05 sec/update
[  Info  ]    Summary for update of       SigmaTV.cy
[  Info  ]      missing shows added       0
[  Info  ]      changed shows updated     0
[  Info  ]      new shows added           20
[  Info  ]      unchanged shows inspected 112
[  Info  ]      total after update        134
[  Info  ]      elapstime / updated show  0.05 seconds

So the update for these channels is also normal.

Leaves the possibility the grabber missed some shows.

And indeed:

<programme start="20180709002000 +0000" stop="20180709014000 +0000" channel="SigmaTV.cy">
    <title lang="en">ΣΕ ΦΟΝΤΟ ΚΟΚΚΙΝΟ (Ε)</title>
    <desc lang="en">Κοινωνική σειρά.</desc>
  </programme>
  <programme start="20180709083000 +0000" stop="20180709105000 +0000" channel="SigmaTV.cy">
    <title lang="en">ΜΕΣΗΜΕΡΙ ΚΑΙ ΚΑΤΙ</title>
    <desc lang="en">Ενημερωτική Εκπομπή</desc>
  </programme>
  <programme start="20180709105000 +0000" stop="20180709120000 +0000" channel="SigmaTV.cy">
    <title lang="en">ΒΟΥΡΑΤΕ ΓΕΙΤΟΝΟΙ (Ε)</title>
    <desc lang="en">Κωμική Σειρά</desc>
  </programme>

No schedule between the times you mentioned  (remember the above is in UTC)

Reason:  Grabber error, or no schedule on the website?

I have to go deeper into this.

As for the renaming of Extra and Ant1.  Sorry about this, the rename did not came through yet.

Changed Rik1 and SigmaTV to be grabbed from cyta.  It looks OK for me now.  (But comparing a complete schedule is a nightmare for me - so I did spot checks)

A new grab is running now.  Expect the new file to be uploaded after lunchtime (my time)
