Thanks for all your work. The renaming has already worked.

About grabbing from cyta, could you do that for all channels, since the issue most probably has to do with CableNet. If and when you can do it, I will keep watching the EPG to see if the issue appears with cyta EPG too.

I can. But tell me first if the grabbed schedule for Sigma and RIK1 is correct, also the schedule for the next days.

Also this new grab has been ran in daytime.  I want to see the results of the grab at the normal night update time.

 

This cyta grabber had problems (grabbing the wrong schedule for tomorrow and on).  I fixed that, but it remains to be seen if this fix is foolproof.

Let's say I do trust this very much.  Experience tells me that doing it way it is programmed now, is prone to errors.  But at the moment I do not see anything better.

 

SO, judge the modification tomorrow, after the update please

EPG for Extra Cyprus is wrong. At cablenet and cyta websites shows the EPG correctly but my app shows other TV shows. Maybe it's the EPG for Extra Greece?

The schedule for Extra in the XMLTV file comes from cablenet.  And corresponds with the schedule published on the cablenet website.

I think you still have the same problem, your android app tries to read EPG and find the channel Extra and Exra Cyprus, and takes the wrong one.

This is wat happens when you try to link EPG with the channel name.  It does not work reliable.

 

However, I think you have .m3u8 playlist somewhere.

 

Try to modify it in this way:

 

#EXTM3U tvg-shift=3
#EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="id1" tvg-name="Channel_1" tvg-logo="logo1" group-title="Group 1",Channel 1

- tvg-id is value of channel id in EPG xml file. If the tag is absent then addon will use tvg-name for map channel to EPG;
- tvg-name is value of display-name in EPG there all space chars replaced to _ (underscore char) if this value is not found in xml then addon will use the channel name to find correct EPG.
- tvg-logo is name of channel logo file. If this tag is absent then addon will use channel name to find logo.
- tvg-shift is value in hours to shift EPG time. This tag can be used in #EXTM3U for apply shift to all channels or in #EXTINF for apply shift only to current channel.
- group-name is channels group name. If the tag is absent then addon will use group name from the previous channel.

Yes, I had already modified my m3u list on order to change Ant1 Cyprus and Extra Cyprus. And Extra Greece is not in the list at all, since my IPTV provider doesn't provide it anymore.

I'm sorry but I think that something else causes the issue. I'll keep checking it and maybe it's something that it will be fixed!

Hi! EPG was ok for all Cyprus channels except Capital. It missed the TV program of 5.50 am.

About Extra Cyprus, now my app shows the same TV programs as the ones that are shown at cablenet's and cyta's websites. I don't know what had happened previously. Maybe I was just looking at another channel's EPG by mistake :-) The important thing is that there isn't angelos issue over there.

So I guess that EPG for Cyprus channels should be grabbed by cyta.

Also, about Fox Life, please try novaguide when you can, in order to check if it's indeed a problem of otenet.

Changed to cyta and Foxlife to novaguide.

 

Did you try:

 

to add the tvg-id="Extra.cy" tag  for Extra Cyprus and so on in the m3u8 file?

The values to used can be found in the XMLTV file.  <channel id="Extra.cy">

PS:  I know to add the tags for every channel is pain in the behind.  But it is the same for the enigma receivers.   There we have a channels list which has to be maintained.  And for IPTV this maintaining has to be done by each user separately.

EPG for Extra Cyprus is ok now. Maybe it was just an oversight of mine! :-) Sorry!

I guess now everything will be ok! I'll let you know if there is something wrong. When will the changes be applied?

Do you mean that changes to cyta (for Cyprus channels) and to novaguide (for Fox Life) have been applied since 10.15am?

There is still no EPG for Fox Life.
And there is a new issue now that I don't know where it came from! :-) Alpha (Greece) and Ant1 (Greece) don't have EPG now! That's so weird!!! :-(

I've just checked the xz link. So you added "Greece" after Ant1, Alpha and Extra. That's ok. I made the changes to my m3u list and now everything is ok. Thanks!

That means, you are still linking the EPG via the channel name.  Try

 

to add the tvg-id="Foxlife.gr" tag  for foxlife in the m3u8 file

 

Much more secure.  If it works.

I had already tried the solution with id but unfortunately it didn't work. I really don't know what might be the problem!

They are the only ones left out. So I hope I will not bother you again! :-)

You can copy and paste the names to the xml, since I have written them exactly in the way they are written at the website.

Forget what I said in the above post. Everything is ok with Ant1 Greece and Capital. Probably there was a delay with my IPTV provider which confused me. Sorry!

Strange.   But indeed I confirm this error for ANT1 Greece.

However with Capital I cannot find this error.  It looks like this is OK.

This will not help with your problem.  You really have to look in your m3u8 file for the name of the channel.
