Your box is in standby? Mine is on, will test that scenario too once the skating in Hamar is done.

if I want test NET, I need not that enigma will take CPU power => in standby.

But it seems, first several seconds is transfer very slow.

When i made today clear build for XP1000, I saw there some warnings about Python's Twisted. It works with net too, or no ?

Yeah, but only inside E2. This problem isn't related to E2, it's something in the new 3.12 kernel for the XP1000.

Strange is, that playback from net works well, jump in file too... only opening network's dir is horror...

Same here, but after about 7 minutes of playback, that collapsed too.

Got a patch from XP support, I'm building and testing that now... If it works, I'll have the buildserver create a new build so you guys can test it too.

I have good news too!

I just did this:

opkg install --force-reinstall kernel-image-3.12.1

New kernel was flashed, and after reboot the network speed improved "dramatically"

FTP from box to my wireless connected pc now @2,26 MB /s (was about 2 Kb/s)

Doing a 1 GB file transfer eventually after a while (some minutes) the transferspeed drops down to unacceptable.

Seems PieterG's changeset did fix some things for the better only it wasnt applied doing a "simple" opkg update/ upgrade.

But its still not at old speeds, but more workable ;)

Hope XP support managed to deliver a more sufficient fix!

The XP has now been timeshifting for about 10 minutes through a network share, and hasn't glitched. I've instructed the buildserver to pass that around.

And I also fixed that the kernel did not upgrade automatically...

Can someone build the new version so we can start testing?

Build is running according to MiLo's post. When finished it will push the new image online automatically.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

root@xp1000:~# ethtool -i eth0
driver: bcmgenet
version: v2.0 Jan  6 2014 23:06:01
firmware-version:
bus-info:
supports-statistics: no
supports-test: no
supports-eeprom-access: no

supports-register-dump: no
supports-priv-flags: no
root@xp1000:~#

generic-segmentation-offload: off [requested on]

generic-segmentation-offload: on
