If you unpack the current OpenPLi 4 image on a USB stick, and you add the splash.bin from the old bootloader zip, does it replace it?
If the answer is yes, the story that the current bootloader doesn't support it anymore is false. If the answer is no, VIX does something extra.
That is what I asked. So if I understand you correctly, the answer is yes?
If so, perhaps this should go into the wiki, with instructions and a copy of that splash.bin file, to avoid others from doing what you had to do...
splash.bin is a separated file u can make it by yourself ! it's bitmap ... but I use ready file from Xtrend support forum
what I did is attaching the file with old bootloader (not recommended cause my box was BSOD for half day )
you can try now take your backup image and copy splash.bin into et9x00 and try it
I can't test it with firmware now cause am at work
