I have problem that one om my tuner are busy without any reason.

It starts when I currently watch a program.  When an recording starts I get a message that no available tuners was free. And the program I watch was black.  The indicator A and B indicates that both tuners was in use. I was no able to zap to no other channels then I record.

I guess that my tuner B has hang. Even after the record was finish, both indicators A and B was in use.

I try to zap to the channel that I record. Start PIP on same channel. Exit PIP try to zap around. But still both tuners was in use. And of cause no recordings was active.

I try to restart Enigma, and that help.

Please help me before my wife kill me... :-)

Nobody is using the web interface to stream by any chance?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Maybe you should check that after you have stopped the stream, the tuner will be released again. Perhaps there is something wrong there?

Yes. I will check this next time I use the stream feature. But, I are almost sure that only one tuner was in use after I have ended my stream. This because earlier to day installed picon in y LCD display, and also show which tuners are in use and if there are any recordings. I like this feature, so just to day i have an extra eye on it. :-)

I should also say that I have the automatic time shift on.

I think I found the problem. You have right about the streaming functions. Normally it works as it should but here are an case that I hang my tuner.

I run Ubuntu 13.10.

From Chrome I go to Webif page and select a program. When click on the first monitor to start streaming Chrome start to download stream.m3u file.

I can now right click on the file and select "open with" I can now select VLC or video player.

This work fine. I can now watch the program I selected. When close the player, my tuner will be free. I can select another program and so on. It's work well.

BUT, when I later shows an old stream.m3u file, the player start but the screen will be blank, because the actual program no longer are active. Now when and my player, the tuner wil hang and not free up unil reboot enigma or system.

Interesting, I have never observed that. I use Firefox (on Fedora), and that starts VLC directly when I click on the icon, it doesn't download the m3u first.

I not sure that the problem are in Chrome itself. But I'm sure that if you try to use an old stream (url) you will hang your tuner (at least on vu duo2)

The file are include an http:// url with and hostname / ip and the referens to the program itsef i gues.

I guess you can copy the url and try to use it after the program has ended and get same result. I do not know for how long the url are actual, but I guess at least to it ends ?

I will try this more if you like.

Stream URL's look like this:

http://172.16.1.43:8001/1:0:1:189D:7FD:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

It's just a link to the service reference, that never expires (unless the channel disappears from the sattelite).

I've created an stream.m3u file. Playing it now, closing and opening it again doesn't seem to have any effect. I'll see what happens if I open the file tomorrow.

Ok I do not know if the url refer to a specific channel or specific program on a channel.

But I can also reuse my stream.m3u file as long the program still active without any problem.

To hang the tuner, I do not have to wait to next day. Just an hour, or like that.

In during this time, i sure that I have look at other channels.

Just to be clear. This happen me every time, not sometime.

It only happen when using the streaming function, not when just watch TV, recordings. And so far we have watch much, (it's OS :-)

Is it possible to get any log files out so you can analyze.

In matter of time, I will try to see if I can get same problem in OpenVIX.

As I wrote, the m3u only contains the URL to the service reference, so it doesn't expire as long as the channel is on sattelite.

I haven't been able to reproduce it sofar (on my Duo2).

Ok. I hear what you say. I really happy that you help me and help me.

I have tree stream.m3u files (stream.m3u,  stream (1).m3u,   stream (2).m3u,  stream (3).m3u  )

The first one are since yesterday and include

#EXTM3U
#EXTVLCOPT--http-reconnect=true

I do not remember from which channel it comes from. By when try to open it with VLC, I goot black screen. Tuner B will be busy. H When exit VLC, tuner B will be free after 5 seconds. After 10 tries, still work (except that I have an blank screen).

But when try to use the Video player that comes with Ubuntu 13.10 (Videos 3.8.2), same result blank screen. But when exit Video player, the tuner B will not be free.

I can't find any process that belongs to video player, but I disconnect my computer from network, the tuner still busy.

Before this test, I have used the Video player with the lates stream (3).m3u file and that work well. I can see the film and the tuner will be free after.

So:

It seems only be related to Videos Player, and with and an older stream.m3u file (if it because it old or belongs to an channel that no have any active program at the moment, have I not find out yet).

stream (1) and stream (2) are also since yesterday, but they work. And the both give video, so only one (the first) m3u file will not wotk. Blank screen, and tuner hang with Video player (not VLC player).

Never used Video player (don't even know if that exists on Fedora), always use VLC.

Strange is it. I can't stream Histroy Channel HD, but I can watch it from TV. If I try to stream via VLC I good blank black screen without any video stream. But when exit player tuner will be free. When try to stream from Video player in ubunto, i still get a blank black screen without video, but when exit, tuner will remain busy.

It does't matter if I in the same time also look at the channel or not.

On which orbital is this channel?

I found something here called Videos (it's version 3.10.1, from the Totem guys), is that the same player?
