I did the flash and wizard all over again today. Build 14.10.14.. Seems fine until enigma restart: Autumn picture, the wheel in the upper left corner turnes every once in a while. Stuck..

This box had an older(1,5 years old?) openpli image running just fine. I've done none updates until reflash this september..

Is there mabye some updates which has been lost? Frontprocessor?

You did try a power off / wait couple seconds / power on? My 2 xp1000 did hang on timer issue after todays update and reboot. Probably due to not having an active channel on a tranponder to goto? Last scanned group was cleared by my, yesterday.

The Duo has not been in use for over a year, have now tried to flash it with usb stick many times, and it is always stuck on autum picture after second reboot. 

Have tried to complete the wizard, and have deleted backup of settings from hdd. Very strange?

Are someone in the development team into this problem?

As I can see, all vu boxes have this problem. The problem happends to be when people upgrade from an older version.

I'll say it is a problem(something missing/removed) in the image between april-today.

all vu boxes have this problem, but no one can capture boot log from com port to see wat's wrong ?

Try to telnet to the box and check the date and time, sounds like the problem I report with Duo2 where the STB goes into an impossible date for computer (before 1970), this make E2 to &always crash.

Problem was fixed when you can tune to a channel to get the correct date and time or if you force the date and time manually via telnet.

Just tried what you suggested @Pr2.The box starts up the first time with year/ date 1. of January 1970. I then did a network scan, tuned in to a channel and waited for the box to update to the correct date,

then did a controlled reboot by the remote, but still stuck on autum picture when it boots up again.

you can either manually change the selected language:
telnet/ssh to your box

 init 4

edit /etc/enigma2/settings file (using some linux format editor),
find the line 'config.osd.language=nb_NO'
and either change language to no_NO (you'll have the 'norsk' then),
or delete this line completely (you'll end up with English)
save file

init 3

 
or just install image from scratch, in the wizard select Norsk language (or any other language except Norsk Bokmal), and everything should work fine...

this recurrent issue really need to be finally solved, either by repairing this Bokmal Norsk, or by removing it completely...

I tried build 2015-03-30 today. Issue with Norwegian Bokmal language is not solved. Workaround above works fortunately
