Hello.

 

I have a VU+ Duo pointed at 0,8w (1w).

I have good signal strength.

But more channels keep dissapearing from my list.

Channels that use to work now givet a Message: SID not found in (something).

After a New search the channel is gone.

FOX HD is gone now and I can only find Fox (sd).

Some channels have blocky reception (Animal Planet and some BBC).

 

The problem is that when I Connect a VU+ Solo to the same satelite cable and insert the card there I DO get FOX HD and the other channels that are gone on my VU+ Duo and the blokiness is not visible on my "problem channels".

Both boxes show the same SNR.

 

Any ideas why VU+ Solo does not have these problems that I see on my VU+ Duo?

Look for the "only red led problem" with VU+ Duo. Although you don't (yet) have this exact problem, it will get to this stage if you don't fix it. In short: the power supply is faulty and starts to degrade after two years of service.

I have already been through the Red led and the unit has already been repaired.

Any other ideas?

Does the repair include a ceramic or polyester capacitor?
