Flashed my ET8000 and no problems detected so far

I have GUI-updated my ET8000 and there were only 19 packages updated. I've tried again and says "no updates available".

How can I know if it has been correctly updated ?

Normally, every 4-5 days I update it and find from 20 to 30 upgrades.

Telnet command opkg list-upgradable shows nothing.

Enigma is getting old....

Flashed and restored UNO and no issues observed.

Found one issue: when trying to de-install plugins (webbrowser --> red) I get a message 'no new plugins found'. Not sure if this is related to 'the big upgrade', but I didn't notice this issue before.

Still works okay here on solo2

If you build your own, it's strongly advised to clean out the "tmp" directory before building.

about "Package enigma2-plugin-extensions-ppanel md5sum mismatch" ... i am using sucesfuly for it after build script with :

boxes="formuler1 dm800se xp1000 vuultimo"
for b in $boxes
    do
        rm ~/oe4_$b/build/tmp/deploy/ipk/mips32el/Packages.gz
        rm ~/oe4_$b/build/tmp/deploy/ipk/mips32el/Packages.stamps
        ~/oe4_$b/recreate_feed ~/oe4_$b/build/tmp/deploy/ipk/mips32el

        rm ~/oe4_$b/build/tmp/deploy/ipk/all/Packages.gz
        rm ~/oe4_$b/build/tmp/deploy/ipk/all/Packages.stamps
        ~/oe4_$b/recreate_feed ~/oe4_$b/build/tmp/deploy/ipk/all

        rm ~/oe4_$b/build/tmp/deploy/ipk/$b/Packages.gz
        rm ~/oe4_$b/build/tmp/deploy/ipk/$b/Packages.stamps
        ~/oe4_$b/recreate_feed ~/oe4_$b/build/tmp/deploy/ipk/$b
    done

I do not know why, but file "Packages" is finished before ending whole building and are not complet. Then can be wrong md5 or missing whole info of most packages.

It must be made after removed "tmp" too.

this problem is cca 3month old...

To be absolute sure, just flash a new image and build your settings from scratch or let the autobackup/restore do its job.

It takes less then half a hour to get things up and running again. This ensures you you don't have any old remains from previous image(s)

I get this error while upgrading:

I'm using xtrend et6000 and I ran the update twice but the error persists.

I flashed again, this time without any restore. Just made the basic settings in the FIW and the same issue again.
So this is 100% reproducible, at least on the UNO.

@SatKiekerd

On my UNO fresh install, with settings restore and the issue described by you is not reproducible.

Overall I did not observe any problems after the installation, upgrade was of course failing upon not fulfilled enigma2 dependencies.

Could you attach the file for manual installation?

When I run:

opkg list | grep libgif4

The re is no output which means it is not installed.

If you are building only one image there will be no issues! If you are building more that one image then you are correct, packages are borked. Running recreate_feed against all and mips32el is the way to solve problems.

Also depends on dvb are borked, almost all new builds (or new kernels) have issues to caclulate the correct dvb depends. (The only way to solve this is to create packages for every dvb stick and use RRECOMENTS with all posible kernel modules)
