I did the "chmod 000 /usr/bin/turnoff_power" workaround. But now the Deep-Standby doesn't work anymore.
How can I undo the workaround?

I now have "fixed" my VU+ Uno that was flashed back to "OpenPLi-4.0-beta-vuuno-20141212_usb" after crashing on update described in start of tread. I did the following :
1: On VU+, in settings for HDD, I run the ext3 to ext4 conversion, this only takes a few minutes (Since latest OpenPLi do not read ext3 partitions anymore)
2: When finish I executed the backup plugin (that backup setting that is read after new flash)
3: I then flashed the box with "OpenPLi-4.0-beta-vuuno-20150102_usb" from USB
4: After boot, all works as it should. Did a online update today and all work perfectly !
In case this helps someone still have problems. Happy New year everyone !

hi I have a dvb800 hd pvr and just updated it with this image an it gets to the stage where I can connect with DCC so it gets an ip address but I just get the picture of the railway surrounded by 30 or so other pictures. and a small set of cogs appear every now and again. The LCD sticks at about 30%.
frustrating. like a wasp that wont allow you to programmatically design a house for wasps even though wasps wont even live there. And wasps cant talk. But they can hum. no idea how wasps got into this conversation
is this a conversation? not sure.

Hi, my box now boots up OK etc but I cannot get TSMedia working on it. I also cant get a USB stick to mount properly - I want to add extra disk space as it only has 60 MB space available on root
On another note, thee is 72 MB available in /var/volatile mounted as tmpfs - is there any way I can use that or mount it in root? Or change the weighting?
Any help much appreciated

I found 68 (I think it was) updates available for my vuduo+ this morning when checking via the online update facility.
I did the update and there was still 2 updates available.
I did it again but still there was 2 updates available.
And again.
So, what is my problem now?

Apparently two packages don't "want" to be upgraded. Can you post the output?

Make a photo of the screen if it the error is there or
login to the receiver and type
init 4
opkg update
opkg upgrade
init 3
(wait until each command finishes and log the output). How to login and how to log is described in other topics.

There is no obvious error. It's just that there are always 2 updates left after doing an online update.
Attached is a photo when I select to show what updates are available.
vuduo update.jpg 85.29KB 19 downloads

Some packages may have gone backwards in version number lately, due to the problem in openembedded described here:
https://www.mail-arc...g/msg60023.html
This causes the system to refuse to install, for example, the last build which reports to be number "42" for a package, while the box itself already has version "100" or so, even though that 100 version is actually older.
Nothing to worry about, it's just plain annoying for now, there are a few dozen packages hit by this and it'll take a while to sort them out. There weren't any real changes in them anyway, just re-compilation because of library updates and such.
So the message is, don't worry, the problem will be fixed in due time.
OK, Thanks..
