I did the second Backup also, to see if the old first made remains, and all OK, were right! Now two backup files in my backup folder.
I will try the recovery also, and will report the results.

Ok, so most probably now it works on "vanilla" OpenPLi.

My test results:
1) over the webinterface Restore does not work. http://www.dream-mul...irmware-browser
2) Restoration works with the help of dreampu.

What was the error when you tried flashing over webif?

 

I've never had issues flashing image on dm800se with webif.

After pressing the Flash! It wait a bit (trying to upload?) and then throws down an empty web page appears and nothing happens anymore. It seems like it lost the box on the communication. I tried several times with the same story. While I turn off the power then from back switch, it returns to the last state (fortunately). I've also seen such a thing in the past but at the moment can not say the reason. Restoring with dreamup will naturally take longer time than restoring over the webinterface.

I do extensive testing on this weekend:
1) clean fresh PLi+ then I try to do full backup with the Shell script dreambox-fullbackup.sh , and then restore it with aid of webinterface.
If with webinetrfacega it still fails, then
2) I restore the backup from last year, with gutemine extension dFlash 13.x original (exklusive binaries)
I pore over into this log, so I have not yet been thoroughly studied it.
Why, because with it made fullbackup restoration over the webinterface works 100%
I give the outcome soon.

I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. I will stick to all Openpli supported boxes except dreamboxes.

 

Maybe someone can make a complete plugin of the script with all the dependencies and a little pythoncode to get things started by remote control?

My morning test and it was not possible to recover/Flash with webinterface. Unfortunately. I will continue..

Today, after deep testing, I can confirm, that no time bomb is there in gutemine´s plugins! Sorry for sayng the wrong things! It is simply a lach of support which spawns such a feeling. I found the solution by examining the logs with satdreamgr dreambox-fullbackup.sh

My reason for being is here:

Infact, everything works. However, it requires quite a lot of knowledges.

athoik, I add here the dbackup_dFlashV13.6.log and dbackup_dFlashV13.6.sh

Maybe you can look at what is neede in order to be able Flashing over webinterface. And then, if you find it necessary, You can supplement your script. Both of them are working and backup versions are very necessary.

My fullbackup file size 71 858 KB is too much for my old computer and that's why I can not Flash over the webinterface! PLI pure software, however, succeed, because it is much smaller (44.6B). I used today my new computer, and everything managed with the webinterface. I apologize for confusing and the problem is solved! I will give a green light to athoik Schell Script for fullbackup making. Many thanks for a very good tool!!!

Improved Estonian translation for dFlash with changes log added.

 

Can I add to IPK installation file the shell script so that during the installation the shell script verify the necessary configuration and if anything is missing, then the process could try to download that missing part from the Internet. How to do it, and whether it can be easily done? We can then move forward on this topic and hopefully soon to the end (so that all DreamBox owners can use it).
