took me some time to get the service reference out:

Crime + Investigation

1:0:1:615:48:36:FFFF0000:0:0:0

Cable channel from NOS

 

I don't think it is in the channels.xml

so if I got the syntax right:

can you add:

 

<channel update="i" site="nos.pt" site_id="411" xmltv_id="CrimeInvestigation.pt">Crime + Investigation</channel>

 

and

Hi Willy, just a quick question.

 

Where are you grabbing Portuguese EPG at the moment.

 

Because the current grab for TVSeries has minimal info compare the the MEO.pt version which includes Season & Episode.

 

I don't have any current series recordings so I am free to help out.

OK.  I took an harder look at the grabber defininition, and found out it needed a bit of maintenance.

A totally new grab is running.  Hopefully better now.

You are correct, the episode information belongs to the EPG.

But not all websitese list it.

 

In this case, it is listed but the grabber needed maintenance.  And grabbing websites is still an art, and can be difficult in some cases.

For the NOS.pt website, it was actually easy, but the old grabber definition  tried to grab this in a difficult way.  (and failed).

So removing all the difficult bits, and rewriting  the line for grabbing the title gave a result.

No preference at the moment for Meo or Nos.

For most programs PT have been good. Although lacking in Seiries Episode info their timings are far better that the Spanish (Another Post).

 

We still have NoS and Meo so would be really good if you could grab for each. Most programs duplicate so it gives us a choice when setting timers.

 

ie: Set atimer base on Meo but change channel to NoS.

In the above example, Fox Crime, the schedule is taken from nos.pt

The episode info is present in the subtitle as S3E5.  Which is the standardized method to denote the episode info.

 

The double entries, are from importing EPG and the EIT EPG (or MHW).

In order to avoid these double entries, please use only one method for providing EPG.  Either import it and disable all EIT, MHW and other EPG methods.

A 5 minute difference in starting time (8 minutes here) is quite normal.

 

If you want the EIT EPG for certain channels, and import EPG for other channels.  Disable the import for the channels you do not want imported EPG, by pressing INFO in the EPGimport plugin, and select the ignore list.  Add those channels to the ignore list.

PS: providing double EPG from NOS and MEO, is quite wastefull.  Or is the schedule of  RTP1 different on NOS and MEO?

Hi Willy,

 

I can imagine that it is a torturous task dealing with these two PT providers. Normaly they are very good compared with Espania. Who have a different clock to the rest of the world.

 

From what I see as a viewer, and I mean no disrespect. It  imho would be best to have separate grabs for NoS and Meo. Even though they have many overlapping channels. Both providers have some unique channels and better or worse for their epg, fortunately not too many.

If you can tell me which channels are better grabbed from NOS and which from MEO, I can look if that can be done.

I use both websites, so switching over some channels is not a big problem.
