OK VTI image?

Do not know any about this image.

 

Tried to install it from the feed?  If yes and it does not work then the plug-in is not updated in the feed.

 

The only thing I can say change to OpenPLi, OpenVIX or OpenATV.  It works in those images.

I use VTI and this is how i fixed it:

Just download the CrossEPG 0.6.2 from VTi Panel

Delete crossepg_rytec_update.py and crossepg_rytec_update.pyo from /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/

Put crossepg_rytec_update.pyo in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/

Restart box (full reboot, not GUI)

Go to CrossEPG settings

Press "Update rytec provders"

Done.

My rytec sources do update and i have the 0.6.2 crossepg plugin version but when i download the rytec uk xmltv it does it too quickly and no epg is showing so the file isn't downloading properly which just happened suddenly last week.

 

how did you find the /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/ location because i couldn't did i find it through your actual box or by connecting your box to pc then finding from pc?

can the rytec epg team send me the crossepg file that updates and downloads rytec UK xmltv epg perfectly.

Your image producer should provide that. OpenPLi images are up to date.

Update your image.

Images that support Crossepg are up-to-date, and import the XMLTV data correctly.

 

OpenPLi does not contain Crossepg at the moment, but here you can use XMLTVimport, which is also up-to-date.

(Except DMM800 - but you can use OpenATV) .

An associated question.
I have been using the epg information for a utility program to compare tuners with epg, etc.
I have been using http://xmltvepg.wanwizard.eu and http://crossepg.sifteam.eu/

They do not appear to have any information. Could you please point me to the right urls?

No i will not send it to you.  If you followed the discussions you will know why.

 

However one tip: open  /etc/epgimport/rytec.sources.xml on your box.

i have finally found a perfectly working crossepg plugin that updates and downloads sources fine.

Why should it be so difficult to get it work :-(

 

I have a link that works: http://crossepg.sift...v.headers.db.gz and I get a crossepg.headers.db file.

 

I hope this is an updated file but is it possible to manually put it somewhere in the box and use? I am fully aware that it involves some work but at least I can check if I get any fresh EPG info.

No, it is not difficult.

 

1. siftteam has pulled out of the EPG game.  They pulled the plug.

2. If I could post the updates freely, all problems would be solved at once.  But I cannot do this, due to several funny people.

3. No I cannot hand out this info when you request me.  I have no clue how you use this info.  It could be used to sabotage us again.  (deliberate or accidental)

4. You can enjoy EPG by simply updating your box to the most recent software version.  The info is included in there. 

 

If you had a system which did not have XMLTVimport or Crossepg in the feed, and installed it yourself from a dubious source on the net, you are paying now the price.

The only advise I can give is install an image which support XMLTVimport.

hi i use cross epg (3 replacement files) for download ,update the rytec today,but on italy xmltv box can,t reboot up,and with dream up reflash is ok now,so i won,t download italy anymore ,see what happened let you know
