Interesting, it's arm (not mips32el). They're not mentioning the manufacturer in the brochure.
I am also very interested as to whether they're using a proper LCD now, or it's a photo frame once again.

What is the main chip exactly ?
They're running e2 on an ARM cpu ? is it stable and recent (not old version of e2 with old DVB API) ? because I saw e2 on Golden Media HyperCube with PNX8496 chip and MaxDigital E2BMC with PNX8471 chip they're not stable
And when I saw PrismCube i was disappointed again to see something like HyperCube and E2BMC, cheap chip and old kernel

It's still alpha or perhaps beta. So you cannot say much to how stable the box is.

It has 2 embedded fbc sat tuners https://www.broadcom....ellite/bcm4528
Release should be mid-July.
Mid July is very optimistic. They said September.
Yes, sorry, September it is (or should be).

That "some guy" was Jay
The LCD is accessible via a Linux framebuffer device and/or using the mechanism that is used for "normal" VFD screens (I couldn't exactly understand what Jay meant in this respect), so you can easily make skins for it. Also you can watch TV on it, not with the lcd4linux "stutter tv" method, where the framebuffer is grabbed and sent to the display, but using a direct hardware connection, it's supposed to go smoothly. I don't think it was as smooth as on you tv set, but much much better than stutter-tv.
OTOH the quality of the LCD screen is just as bad as on the Duo2. Only viewable from exactly right in front.

I hope they can make PLi's enigma2 compatible with new ARM chips (kernel 3) so we could say goodbye to Mipsel chips, It's time for powerful chips and new architecture, ARM is the real deal
And I hope again they let go of old dreambox enigma2 which belongs to enigma2 museum, If I see Solo 4K with the old enigma2 I'm gonna smash my head against the wall definitely but if I see it with new PLi's enigma2 oh baby I'm gonna sing for you till morning

Did they had a working demo?
Yes, at least as far as it was ready to show. Switching between two FTA ultra HD channels was fast as lightning.

Regarding tuner: The 2 dvb-s2 tuner(full band capture tuner) can (with special LNB) tune 8 different transponder. With normal LNB you have 2 + 6*loopthrough.

The available and select tuner stuff in the enigma2 cpp stuff is another thing that needs to be adapted.... And note this part is at this moment some kind of mess....this is some part op software in e2 that could require some "complete" revision.
