VU+ has not (yet?) added the Solo4K to the BSP. So there are no (yet?) images for this receiver.

I hope they can make PLi's enigma2 compatible with new ARM chips (kernel 3) so we could say goodbye to Mipsel chips, It's time for powerful chips and new architecture, ARM is the real deal
You can run OpenPli on anything, that includes MIPS, ARM, x86, Microblaze, Leon, whatever...

Broadcom’s series of systems-on-a-chip (SoCs) includes the BCM7251 for multi-HD/UltraHD IP settop boxes, and the BCM7366 with a direct broadcast satellite Full Band Capture front-end receiver.
There are two corresponding MoCA 2.0-enabled STB SoCs for cable and satellite video gateways: the BCM7439 and BCM7376.

rob I mentioned this on another forum a while ago and you stated CI+ couldn't run on enigma2, what has changed? At the VTi-forum there are already quite a number of user-views of the 4k: http://www.vuplus-su...=85987&pageNo=1

It's like softcams, playing protected DVD's, or HDMI-HDCP. Barriers thrown up are there to be broken.... So it looks like a way has been found to have the box accept a CI+ module, multiple vendors already support this.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

This will be a cat & mouse play, no doubt about that. And the $1000 question is if the actual implementation (by drivers and a 'helper') will still work when more and more limitations of the CI+ are being used. Most providers seem to start with no limitations at all, and of course that's not what CI+ is intended for.
Re: New VU+ Solo 4K #39

True. As always, the proof of the pudding...
I think however that due to the way CI+ works, that it won't be that bad. If the provider enables a limitation, it is a command send to the receiver to activate or block some feature. Our receivers however will respond to such requests with "whatever" and redirect the request to /dev/null...
