Basic, which are the channels of DVB-T (and sat) which everybody can receive.

The Sky channels, and the channels for which you need a special subscription - mainly Sports and Movies.

Can you to fix the following things please ?

 

 

1)--->"RaiSportPlus.it" (located in IT_Basic.gz) has no epg.

 

2)--->"UNINETTUNOUniversityTV.nws" is not a news channel. It broadcasts university lessons. So it has nothing to deal with news.

You should move "UNINETTUNOUniversityTV.nws" from "NWS.gz" to "IT_Basic.gz" and then change it into "UNINETTUNOUniversityTV.it"

 

3)--->"RaiNews.it" is inside "NWS.gz". But the other 2 italian full news channels ("SkyTG24.it" and "Tgcom24.it") are located inside "IT_Basic.gz".

I suggest you to move "RaiNews.it" from "NWS.gz" to "IT_Basic.gz" in order to have all italian channels just by downloading 3 files (and not 4).

"RaiSportPlus.it" and "RaiSport.it" broadcast different events so they have different epg info (see image taken from http://www.raiplay.it/guidatv/)

 

 

 

I perfectly remember that RaiSportPlus.it was correctly showing its own epg. You should check the site where you were grabbing epg info for this channel.

Ok, so how about having "RaiNews.it" on both "NWS" and "IT_Basic" ?

 

If "RaiNews.it" is only on "NWS",  to have all italian channels we have to download 4 files :

If "RaiNews.it" is on both "NWS" and "IT_Basic", to have all italian channels we have to download 3 files :

This means less traffic on your servers !

Because my own ET-9500 died on me.  I still have an old ancient VUduo.  But having some problems getting him like I want.

The wife wants to watch television, so this takes priority.

It seems for some events it does not grab the whole title.

 

Few examples:

 

on the website raiplay it's shown----->"Pallavolo maschile: Super Coppa Italiana 2017 - 18 Finale" while grabbed epg title shows "Pallavolo"

on the website raiplay it's shown----->"Ciclismo 2017 : Milano Torino" while grabbed epg title shows "Ciclismo"

on the website raiplay it's shown----->"Calcio Nazionale -Qualificazioni Russia 2018: Albania - ITALIA" while grabbed epg title shows "Calcio"

on the website raiplay it's shown----->"Calcio: Campionato Italiano 2017 -18 Serie A 5a giornata: Atalanta - Crotone" while grabbed epg title shows "Calcio"

on the website raiplay it's shown----->"Zona 11 P.M. 2017-18" while grabbed epg title shows "Zona 11"

on the website raiplay it's shown----->"Overtime (2017-18)" while grabbed epg title shows "Overtime"

 

and so on. As you can see it looks the grabber does not grab completely. Maybe some delimiter problem ?

I've found only 1 wrong epg event:

But i've discovered that it was a website problem. Raiplay website made the mistake so don't worry !

Anyway i'll continue to check it for the next days and see if future problems will come. Thanks for the effort !

 

Few more things:

2)--->i've seen that from 1/1/2018 .gz files will no longer exist. ONLY .xz will be.

 

You said that .xz is exactly .gz but with better compression.

 

Now i can easily open .gz files with winrar and read them with notepad. But what about these .xz files ? Is there any pc software that is able to open and read them ?

 

Or from 1/1/2018 epg will only be working on decoders like dreambox, vuplus,... ???
