If moderators on this forum doesn't plan to definitely finish trolling of user @frank087234
I will be forced to leave this forum.
I really do not understand how you can accept behavior like that.
He lies, slanders and misleading others.
And what moderators do? Moderator only remove part or some reported posts.
This is not OK!

There is no update possible, the OE environment of OpenPLi 4 is out of date. The upcoming 5 will contain 2.7.12.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

how can i update to python 2.7.9+ on open pli 4?i just made software update and i'm still on 2.7.3
At now you can only change the image.
For example E2 distributions Hyperion (PKTeam), Egami, OpenATV have new version of python.
Building your own image OpenPLI 5 is another solution.
python is integrated with E2, so it is not so easy to make custom update of only this component.
Backporting HTTPS fixed from python 2.7.9+ to 2.7.3 is possible but thre is need to have time to do this.
It doesn't make sense because newer images have new python.
