Most certainly not ;)

We do NOT have access to the sources of any cam (other than Oscam of course).

Hello everybody, I have a question and hope someone will be so kind to give a reply.

Since I'm planning to buy a VU+ solo 4K, I'd like to know if with openpli I'll be able to install and use transmission for torrent download

I'm coming from dreambox DM8000 where this plugin doesn't work...

Thanks a lot!

Can't understand.. Perhaps I do something wrong.

I installed latest openpli 4, installed transmission plugin, after few minutes I started the transmission plugin, my DM8000 freezes, forced to turn off it by the power rear button..

no hope to solve it :(

Lack of memory?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Don't know, anyway with older images (i.e. dream elite 4) it works.

So I'd like to know if transmission works flawlessly on Vu solo 4K...

Sorry if this has been asked before but I have not found any good answers when googling.

I think the timeshift/recording function works terrible. Is it my box only? I had similar problems with my old VU+ Duo too.

When I fast forward a recording or time shift using speed 16x for a while (commercials) the picture freezes for 5-10 seconds when I reduce the speed to 8x or go directly to 1x.

Also, when I rewind, the playing pops back to the point where it was playing before the rewind.

I use an internal 650GB 2.5" HDD. I installed the latest OpenPLi a couple of weeks ago.

Winding (either forward or back) is a big problem with most boxes, with the VU+ drivers not performing particularly well.

It's better to use the fixed-time skip functions (keys 1/4/7 and 3/6/9), you can define the time skipped in the config.

Thanks! I tried the 1/4/7 3/6/9 way and it  works very well. Actually much faster than using FF. :)

H264 media playback with high ref. count => VU+ Solo 4K is unable to correctly playback H.264 encoded files that exceed Level 4.1 profile of H.264. While level 4.1 is enough for satellite transmissions, there are many downloaded files that exceed this profile, having 8 or 9 reference frames in Full HD (profile 4.1 defines up to 4). VU+ Solo2 can playback those files correctly, so the upgraded VU+ Solo 4K should as well.

Any progress here ? Got VU+ 4k Solo. THX.

We cannot fix that. It's either a driver issue or a chipset limitation. We don't have access to source of the drivers. So ask VU+ to fix it.

This is a known limitation of the Solo-4k, and a result of it being a pioneer 4k device.

The younger VU's have a newer SoC and should not have this limitation.

Bollocks. Excuse the word, but it's really not true. Already my dm800hd (not SE), which has the first and simplest Broadcom HD SoC could play AVC at "high" profile, 5.1 level. Image the next generation SoC's. The only thing is, as we told many times before, is that you cannot play UHD from AVC. Every Broadcom UHD SoC has this limitation.

I have not encountered (sensible) AVC files that I couldn't play on my Solo4k. The AVC files I encode are high profile, 5.0 level, no problem. One really doesn't need to go above that, blame the person that did the encoding, doesn't know what he's doing.

Is only Ultimo able to play/stream 4K / AVC or only DM can do it ATM ? Thx.

AFAIK the Ultimo4k also can't play UHD in AVC. I never tried it though, I don't see the point.
