There's a very simple and easy way to speed things up. You don't even need to be a developer!
Just don't buy the box until after the support is there. That's all there is to it. Same goes for any new box - if you want an OpenPLi image for it, the worst thing you could possibly do it go buy it!

Several nice images are available. Vti, openatv, etc. Furthermore vu + is working on developing whats needed for Openpli support.

I bought the Vu+ Solo 4K and suggest you do too because its currently the coolest new e2 Hardware available, the FBC tuners make people that like to record a lot happy and I hope Openpli support will not take until xmas2017.

I have a vu solo 4k also and it is a very nice box but also some problems like a tearing problem that is still not fixed

Also read about that some people have issues. No tearing issues here on my end. Tested with LG 55'' uhd TV. What TV are you using?

I'm having troubles Tuning satellite 4.8E (4.9E) Astra Ku band. Seems like no matter what i do it won't tune anything. Attached to Tuner B (wich i assume is the Secondary onboard connector) it was on the VTI image. 0.8 (0.9W) is working fine.
