buc61b.
I'll check it out.
However I don't understand why all spark owners would like to use ffmpeg on their receivers.
I believe the ePlayer thing uses it.
These images are for testing the latest gstreamer builds, not for using ePlayer.
Gstreamer already comes with it's own ffmpeg plugin, it's called gstreamer1.0-libav and it's installed by default in all my images (only on receiver with flash larger than 64MB).
Also ffmpeg cannot be used to make video-codecs work which aren't supported by the hardware decoder since decoding in software is way too slow.
You can only use it for software-decoding audio, such as wma for example.

The reasons are in IPTV Player thread, MastaG: streaming of the same video ffmpeg/eplayer3 uses around 30MB of RAM, while gstreamer uses around 80MB of RAM, which FOR OLDER and MORE LIMITED HW IS SIGNIFICANT!
How do I know?
I tested various images and in AR-P project, which was ffmpeg/eplayer3 based (and they have 2 types of images: 1) ffmpeg/eplayer and 2) gstreamer based), streaming was working without many problems, whereas in OpenATV, PBNIGMA etc. - they didn't. At all!
Once I put ffmpeg in those images and used eplayer3 - it worked! Credit goes to AR-P and later to IPTV PLayer Team, for creating an ffmpeg/eplayer3 pack for OpenATV, which I tested before and after installing the ffmpeg/eplayer3 package.
This is after many a test on Alien2 by me and tested by others on Alien1.
https://code.google.com/p/tdt-amiko/ and https://github.com/OpenAR-P/arp-bs as well as https://code.google..../downloads/list
I believe all limited HW can benefit from such an image!

Btw, I am not an expert but...
Also ffmpeg cannot be used to make video-codecs work which aren't supported by the hardware decoder since decoding in software is way too slow.
You can only use it for software-decoding audio, such as wma for example.
Well, this seems suspect, as I tested the same OE-A based image before and after installing ffmpeg/eplayer package and, as I said, the results were greatly improved streaming capability on Alien2! And it wasn't just audio that was suddenly working but the whole thing, audio-visual streaming!
Also:
Gstreamer already comes with it's own ffmpeg plugin, it's called gstreamer1.0-libav and it's installed by default in all my images (only on receiver with flash larger than 64MB).
I tested IPTV Player in F500HD (64MB flash) with PBNIGMA 3.01 by Delfi (the only OE2.0 based image for it) and the results were astonishing!
Try it out...

Thanks for clearing that up gorski.
As for the next image for spark/spark7162.
It's based on taapat's tdt-arp enigma2 and his drivers.
But it'll be a gstreamer1.0 image.
It does contain the player2 kernel modules.. but I'd like to know how iptv player works without using eplayer3/ffmpeg.
By default it will use servicemp3's gstreamer backend with christophecvr's multibox dvbmediasink.
So far it's working great here.
Almost done.

If it's a Taapat GIT, then it should have ffmpeg already included (the latest version from the GIT, hence it creates problems with IPTV Player, if in eplayer3 mode).
One should be careful there, as we have seen in the IPTV Player thread...
I will give it a run for its money, as it were... D
I mean, before I do anything extra to it...
Good luck!

Btw, do you take suggestions on?
If you do, since you are not finished, we may need included in the image the following (in order to set up the image properly):
HDD manager
EPG path set
Picon path set
Alternative Softcam Manager
OSCam Emu (at least the relevant info, what goes where etc.)
Maybe even "Key updater", if it can be edited to update the OSCam Emu...?
You know where to find those...
Cheers!!!

Also I'll dig up some more 2.6.18 wifi drivers if I can find some.
Meanwhile thanks to Taapats help the spark image is working very well.
However there a more little things to fix since many of you expect to use it as a daily driver.
This needs some more testing which takes time.
So expect them in 2016.
I'm going to enjoy the holidays first and blow up some shit with my ilegal fireworks lol.
So I wish you all a very happy new year.

Good luck, m8!
Just a question: I think I already saw those drivers in a version before but they did not load. My guess is that they must be compatible with a kernel version (not being an IT pro but having some "experience" )...
Whatever I did, I couldn't install a driver, strangely enough, even though the LED on my WLAN USB stick was lit up... Go figure...
A hint: have a look at PBNIGMA for tools and apps included in the image/PB Centre...
Device Manager works best of all, autofs is switched off etc. Good structure!
Best of luck!
