(in response to the openssl + cihelper "problem" report)

That's what happens when you include closed source binary blobs. It's unavoidable.

Nothing we can do about it. HbbTV is a binary solution from the vendor, and this package has old gstreamer dependencies.

I don't know if I was right, but that is the place for asking questions...

libde265 (https://github.com/s...reamer-libde265), a gstreamer plugin to software decode h265 compressed multimedia files, is not present in enigma2 (due to strong pocessing capabilities requested?).

if I want try to embed libde265 in openpli5, i must create a valid script in meta-openpli/recipes-multimedia/gstreamer/, with correct depedencies, it's right?

Can I find documentation about bb designing rules for openpli?

thanks in advance for your attention.

OpenPLi is based on open-embedded distribution, so

openembedded.org/wiki/Main_Page

and

yoctoproject.org

are sites that can help me (and anyone that was interested ...).

good end of 2016, good start of 2017, but especially good continuation...!

On most boxes you can forget software decoding, the CPU isn't powerful enough. Maybe the latest ARM CPU's are better, that has to be tested.

I want to verify the CPU capability of mut@nt HD51.

with mpeg2 ts stream at 3840×2160 (stream registered by HD51) CPU seems to be bored ...

the goal is to decode on-the-fly mpeg4 h265 ultrahd streams to mpeg2 ultrahd streams.

whe I see that dual-core arm CPU is overheaded by that work, I start to talk about wheater or long female legs ...

->

Ask VU to 'plant' a decent implementation in their BSP layer...  Same for their HbbTV application....

At least I know some visitors here get at least Kodi working on OpenPLi.... mayby when possible they could push a merge request to VU's bsp layer....

Unfortunately VTI is for VU+ Receivers. I have got Edision Receivers, OS mini and OS mini +.

OpenPli-4 is not so good for me, because most of my IPTV-Channels don't work with it. (These not working IPTV-Channels work fine with OpenATV 6.0 and GStreamer 1.11. )

So I need OpenPli-5. I don't understand, why it takes sooooooooo long.

That was a joke ...
... version numbers say nothing.

For VTi the version number tells you, how many different boxes Vu+ has released.
That's why VTi jumped from 9.x.y to 11.x.y, because Uno 4k and Ultimo 4k came at the same time.

Technically it's an outdated pile of junk. You even need historic Linux distros to build it.
