[Taapat]

As I was writing these links are temporary, youtube they change.
On openpli feed is my plugin youtube. In the repo is also bb file, you can build it by yourself if you not building the plugins when build the image.
Try in it ->search->live streams->112.

For me on image with gstreamer 1.9.0.1 live streams not working. On original openpli with the 0.1 gstreamer working.

User reports that on the Masta-G last image with gstreamer 1.8.0 not working. On  Masta-G image with gstreamer 1.7.9 working.

Yes I know now but ... what is the cause,

 

The first point is that we have to trace the real cause .

 

Reports have been done that it was ok on 1.7.9  gst version  ?? then it is not the change from plugins-bad-fragmented to plugins-bad-hls. but another cause somewhere into gstreamer.

 

or the reports did not report the real used gst version ?? that's another issue.

 

But currently the further discussion about it has been placed to toppic :

It will be hell of a job to trace the commit off gst and or which commit in which gst commit does cause the problem

with the latest changes in the size of nfi or zip it is much increased

Perhaps the nfi is bigger , but the final installed version is only 4 MB extra flash space.

 

as a note on dm8000 normally gst-libav is not required by that stb the only use off it into gstreamer is on some stb's like the vuplus who do not have the wma codecs on board.

 

Ok till now nothing is official it's still in development phase but concerning the default pli mediaplayer in combination of very last gstreamer-1.0 (head)

 

All media which is playable on a stb is playable now whitout problems. For video only if stb does have the required codecs on board (that is a stb limitation and no player can change somthing to it.)

 

Audio well just all (but not all stb has enough power or capacity to play the highest audio quality.) On a vuduo2 it is almost all.

 

extra note vuplus series. I know it's not fun but : the LCD4linux should be uninstalled as it may cause and does cause full freeze ad random when playing media and or live streams.

I just builded the very last master-next.

 

Some minor problems but easy to solve.

 

My build setup first :

First minor error replex package needs a patch I just included here my replex adaptation of map:

openpli-oe-core/meta-openpli/recipes-multimedia/replex .

 

Second error : Yes since the gst-libav now just only builds the gstlibav.so with only the needed wma codecs the libav self and libav format are not build anymore. for gst not required. by us we are using on board codecs.

However some plugins do require the libav since ffmpeg does build them also the selection to build libav has been done by ffmpeg now.

for that openpli-oe-core/meta-openpli/recipes-multimedia/ffmpeg/ffmpeg_3.%.bbappend must be modified to :

RSUGGESTS_${PN} = ""

PACKAGECONFIG ="gpl mp3lame x264 avcodec avformat vpx"

EXTRA_OECONF_append = " --disable-mipsdsp --disable-mipsdspr2 "

Test off images (since it's new openembedded core I always flash that is for tommorow)

 

Build dm8000 also fine.

The mistake still passes, no Youtube videos in the TV PLugin feature with Open PLI 5.0 if I build the image about the openpli oe core GIT.

 

If It itself tests sometimes instal to you the Plugin, the canal the Erste HD on Astra 19 ° is Free and you can also conceive.

 

I am I Taapat Very thankfully his GIT to build
for the Duo2 can use (openPLI5.0).

 

There I can play without problems Youtube videos, so
if what must not be absent in the GIT of OpenPLI5.0 why it claps.

 

If I build an Open PLI image 4.0, with Branch gst-1, I can also look Youtube videos in the Plugin TV feature.

 

Hence, I hardly believe which deals this what with the Gstramer.

 

The mistake must lie somewhere else, the question is only where???

Well I don't but if I use Taapat youtube plugin all live streams and youtube video's do play fine.  But really the last gstreamer with the patches are required. (hls fix patch found out by mx3L) It is in my recipe.

 

But it maybe that the plugin you are using does not work anymore on master-next due to other causes. I do not have that plugin and do not like closed source plugins

 

But the plugin off Taapat works very well

 

Just use that search->video->tagesschau  and You find them all (by videos not live streams) Then it works perfect

I just checked the plugin, But it always just reports You tube video nicht gefunden. But if I search the same video trough Taapat plugin it is found and even works.

 

So this problem is not gstreamer related but master-next related.

With last openembedded problem with bitbake -b clean or cleanall task.  This task is really important for developpement.

I built the ffmpeg recipe in master-next but it only builds ffprobe and ffserver (and libraries). It doesn't build ffmpeg binary. What needs to be changed to also build ffmpeg, anyone got a clue?

 

Add (avfilter, swresample) to ffmpeg_3.%.bbappend:
