@chris

I still use your 03-E2-serviceMP3-pause-unpause-issue.patch for E2.

Is it still needed or deprecated? There is a lot changed in gstreamer. .

At this time it is still needed.  But There is much more which need to be done into servicemp3.c . gstreamer self improved amazingly . When testing with gst-lauch-1.0 actually the result are spectacular comparing before. But running with e2 live some things are just worse but that's due to some patches made in to it who are not required anymore and a complete review off buffering (especially pre buffering must be done). point is before going into extensive (and then I do mean very extensive) we need a satble build base and that is now ..

Just adapt You're site.conf before You very first build with You're personal update link . like for me the site conf is changed before my first build into :
location of site.conf  ~/openpli50/openpli-oe-core
content

SCONF_VERSION = "1"
BB_NUMBER_THREADS = "10"
PARALLEL_MAKE = "-j 10"
BUILD_OPTIMIZATION = "-march=native -O2 -pipe"
DL_DIR ="/home/christophe/openpli50/sources"
#INHERIT += "rm_work"
DISTRO_FEED_URI = "http://<my-httpserverip>/pli50/feeds/${FEED_NAME}/${MACHINE}"
the my-htttpserverip  is the ip of pc on which my http server is installed.

again read document about linking feeds and so inti document like I told before

and if You are using gnix or something like that just replace the http//blablabla by /home/<yours>  and the rest eventualy make links in You're home dir first

Thanks, i think that is the different way to get the same result!

Gentlemen,

If you have a neat patch for either DMM BSP or OE (without side-effects) to solve this issue, please supply it. Only with the actual patch I can consider whether it is suitable for inclusion.

And yes, blzr, please comment.

Here the patch for dm800se dm8000 and dm7020hd.

Beeker asked me to make a patch.

Can't this be solved in a clean way, in the dmm bsp?

I agree, it's not clean. But unfortunately no.

The one million dollar question is, why the variable -TARGET_ARCH = "mipsel"- be completly ignored by bitbake.

# dreambox-mips32el.inc

TARGET_ARCH = "mipsel"
DEFAULTTUNE = "mips32el"

MTD_KERNEL = "mtd2"

require conf/machine/include/dreambox.inc
require conf/machine/include/tune-mips32.inc

MACHINE_KERNEL_PR = "r14"

Still try to figure out...

Found something.

Dreambox using meta-openpli/classes/image_types_nfi.bbclass

with

inherit image_types

Removing that line starts the build without errors(bbappends removed).

Now testing from stratch and hopefully rootfs/make image don't fail.

Build ready.No errors. All files present.

So just removing

inherit image_types

in image_types_nfi.bbclass does the trick :) .

And where is that file, it's still not in the DMM BSP. Why would other machines build succesfully?

No it's in meta-openpli/classes/

AFAIK only dreambox is using that file..right?

$ fgrep -ir image_types_ meta-*
meta-dream/conf/machine/include/dreambox-jffs2-sum.inc:inherit image_types_nfi
meta-dream/conf/machine/include/dreambox-jffs2.inc:inherit image_types_nfi
meta-dream/conf/machine/include/dreambox-ubi.inc:inherit image_types_nfi

So it's only used by dmm, indeed. So no objection there I think.

It still doesn't build successfully though:

DEBUG: Executing python function set_image_size
DEBUG: Python function set_image_size finished
DEBUG: Executing shell function do_image_ubinfi
ubinize: volume size was not specified in section "root", assume minimum to fit image "../build/tmp/deploy/images/dm8000/openpli-enigma2-5-dm8000.rootfs.ubifs"77672448 bytes (74.1 MiB)
../build/tmp/deploy/images/dm8000/secondstage-dm8000.bin: No such file or directory
Invalid boot partition!
WARNING: exit code 1 from a shell command.

Looks like yet another race condition while packaging. Maybe a fix like the one that betacentauri supplied for the failed owif builds will also help here (see 6ec6baee02aec529772b317f8eda8813e7fc43b9)
