I self do have already have master-next pli5 and the last gst head.

 

As for the lcd pluging. You can set it just to off via the config in application menu. You can uninstall it but then later You have a warning that there are missing modules.

 

The best to be rid off all lcd plugins problems is just to remove manually the files

__init__.py
__init__.pyo

plugin.py
plugin.pyo

out off map :

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/LCD4linux

Then reboot the box

 

This will just not load or use the plugin anymore at e2 start.

Akki and Chris,

 

The images were build on 2016-01-05.

I use the master-branch from OpenPLi's enigma2 without any patches.

Everything vanilla.

 

Also the master branch of Chris' multibox dvbmediasink: https://github.com/c...ox-dvbmediasink

The only patch I've applied to the mediasink is the one from mx3L which enables AAC to AC3 transcoding but that should only kick in if you enable it in System -> A/V settings.

I'm configuring the sink with: "--with-vuplus --with-wmv --with-pcm --with-eac3 --with-aactranscode"

 

The gstreamer snapshot is indeed from master which is tagged 1.7.1.

I've removed the revert which was found by Beeker for mp4 playback from remote url's because it was fixed upstream.

 

Also I'm shiping gstreamer1.0-libav with all VU+ receivers as well.

 

Since it works on non-VU+ receivers.

 

Possible causes:

* I should remove --with-vuplus option from the mediasink ?

* mx3L's transcoding patch is causing problems

* gstreamer1.0-libav kicks in for some reason and causes slowdowns

* something else?

 

@Akki:Could you try to remove libav for me.

opkg --force-depends remove gstreamer1.0-libav

Reboot and retry.

 

Also which VU+ model do you have?

I can build a private testing image for you without the transcoding patch and --with-vuplus option to see if it improves.

At this time the --with-vuplus option does nothing but could be needed.

libav is only used if there is a lack off on board codecs.

 

No the vuduo2 is very sensible concerning audio pointer initiations by the media. The LCDfor linux plugin does initiate the pointer when it should not. That's a major program mistake into the LCDforlinux plugin used it may only check if a pointer is avbl if not stop use off info it is supoosed to provide. If avbl then and only then it may also use the pointer to display info off it such as used audio-track (language) or subtitle.

But never may initiate those pointer self . That  needs to be done out off the respectif players who are running the media.

I also like you are using the master and your next pli5 GIT provided Recipes for GST 1.7.1.1.
But I do not give up irgentwo, yes if in the streams with me the spinner needs which do not fit,
comes.

I have heard thy Image MastaG flashed from 2016-01-05 to Duo2, then have
I activated AC3 and the streams tested the buffer indicator remains at 1% and the spinner is coming.

Then I deleted the GStreamer Packet gstreamer1.0-libav, no improvement. And then in the end how Christopher described the
LCD Plugin disabled.

 

The problem persists, however, the spinner disappears after about
50sec. and I can use the Duo2 again.

 

Would have to talk some reporting a VU + possess and times
Write if you have these problems.

 

For Christopher it seems well to be no problems, but what about any

But by vu do not use aac to ac3 convertion . The vuduo2 does have aac codecs on board and they do work 100 % .

@Masta for vu do not use the aac to ac3 patch it only will give troubles since it's much more cpu intensif . and may cause discrepancy in segments between video and audio.

 

I'm well using the last gstreamer head.

 

And I just completely uninstall the LCD4linux plugin. (it can be done whitout warnings now).

 

With the plugin installed (even not activated)

On the vuduo2 problems with indeed:

 

some media like the two above.

with plying dvdiso files or real live dvd's.(real live dvd with usb dvd writer)

Login using telnet and type: lsmod | grep rt

Then paste the output here.

I'd like to know which wifi kernel module is loaded.

 

There are a few that ship with Taapat's drivers and a few from OE-A.

About the plugins I do not know yet but it's possible that a couple off them maybe(or should be) removed when using gst head.

About the AAC to AC3 convertion . This is needed on the dm800,dm500hd . But normally on the dm8000 and dm800se the aac codecs are ok.

 

Then other boxes I do not know. except the vu+ series are also ok for AAC.

I found a error in the master (sorry I worked with a slight modified experimental) Gues all problems should be solved now.

Also You can leave the LCD4linux back in  (except for physical dvd playing).

 

I could simulate the problem Akki has by introducing the same error by me.
