@lostman, it's already fixed.

The next version will go into stanby like it should :-)

On openatv, the subtitle works on spark 7111

On taapat subtitle doesnt work, he uses diferent ffmpeg.

Can you fix this on next update...

buc61b, I'm using gstreamer 1.7, that was the whole point of these images.

Many spark users are asking for ffmpeg / eplayer, if you want that use taapats PLi 5 image.

His image is perfect, he really put lots of work it to get in in perfect shape for the 7111.

Also he helped me alot to work out the remaining bugs and give tips and advice for my next release.

Thanks to him my next spark release will include:

- Proper standby / shutdown

- Remote control buttons fixed including the portal button

- Spark7162 should not be stuck in radio mode anymore

- Hardware accelerated image rendering (libmme-host)

- Proper use zram

- Faster by using his drivers / tdt-apps

- Many other things I forgot about.

Also thanks to mx3L servicemp3 is in much better shape than before.

I noticed that:

- adaptive (chunked) streams recover much better now

eg. when missing audio frames, audio doesn't drop out completely but recovers now

- No more spinners when switching iptv streams and faster iptv zapping

- No more freezes when trying to play streams which are offline

- No more lockups when switching audio tracks

This time, I've been testing out many things myself and I'm quite pleased with the results.

So my next image will be the last public image for testing.

Nevertheless subtitles should work in both gstreamer 1.7 and eplayer.

@frimmino

I don't have a solution.

The dm8000 image is 100% the same as original PLi4 with the only difference that I ship gstreamer 1.7 and another mediasink.

The same python as my last version.

The gst-1 branch doesn't exist anymore since development of gstreamer 1.x for PLi moved to master-next (which will become PLi-5).

So the next build will be my last image based on PLi 4.

Then I'll start moving to master-next as well and see if I can backport support for receivers like DM800HD and others.

Taapat already created a working meta-fulan for spark7162/7111 for it :-)

Good job especially on iptv streams.
Just the VFD-Icons is correctly installed in SystemPlugins but doesn't appear anywhere ?
Tested on GM990 (STI7111)

I don't have a git but it's pretty much the same as Taapat's meta-fulan.
https://github.com/T...ster/meta-fulan

Only I'm still using it in openpli-oe-core gst-1 branch (which doesn't exist anymore) and he already moved to master-next.

I'm almost done with my final testing images.
Only one small thing left.
My spark7162 sometimes hangs with a infinite spinner when I stop playing a movie in DreamPlex.
I think it either runs out of memory or it's something related to the dvbmediasink (using chris' sink with the sh4 patch from oe-a).
I'm going to try to increase the zram block device first and see whether it makes a difference.
If not then I'll have a look at the mediasink patch.
I've tested the exact same build on all of my other images and I don't find the freeze happening on any of them.
