I am build kodi 16.1 my pli5 image.Work is fine.Enigma2 player,exteplayer,gstplayer work,but when DVD player sound is ok,video freezes.Ffmpeg-kodi present,but DVD player not hardware decode (maybe).How to fix it?

We are not using DVD player in Kodi because it does only software video decoding, so HD video cannot be played fluently at least not on vusolose.

Check with top command when Kodi is running video via DVD player which freezes.

Currently I did build of kodi-image in openpli-oe-core master-next branch with updated kodi_16_1 branch on meta-vuplus layer.

 

1. curl 7.50.0 causes a problem in building, you have to update it at least to 7.50.1 version:

2. update meta-vuplus kodi_16_1, assuming you followed steps in here http://forums.openpl...ndpost&p=552235

Same problem here. Using Ubuntu 16.10 to build. Everything runs fine but then do_image fails. Has anybody an idea?

Changing IMGDEPLOYDIR = "${DEPLOY_DIR_IMAGE}" might do.

 

 

Now it builds fine.

Yesturday I made/compiled a basic OpenPli 5.0 without feeds but following a set of instructions for terminal and managde get it all working, which seems pretty easy/cool to follow considering first ever day using ubuntu/linux commands, but then I tried to do a fresh install but with Kodi 16.1 compile also, but I got this error message.

I've updated kodi_16_1_gcc6 branch (synchronized with meta-vuplus and vuplus repository).

 

Just fetch updates in following way.

 

cd meta-vuplus
git fetch vukodi
git checkout kodi_16_1_gcc6
git merge vukodi/kodi_16_1_gcc6

 

and bump appropriate kernel recipe, so it's rebuild with updated drivers, for vusolose you can  do it like this:

Slightly offtopic:

 

In updated drivers log messge there is  "- Add more video codecs". Does anybody know what these codecs are?
