I see in the channellist after starting the timer only the channel highlighted which are on the transponder of the timer or the stream tuner

-->

That is true... there is no free tuner... But as far I know now a timer recording should still start...

No, a next timer recording can´t start if is need an other transponder

Openpli bringst first the message. "Switching to the channel for recording xxxx" but after that the message comes up "no tuner free"

If I  abort on the streaming client the stream by hand, then the second timer starts on the streamserverbox

You mean aborting streaming works fine on other boxes than et9x? Rob says also VU shows the record icon too

Then somehow we should create a list for current streams just like we have for recordings now and abort a stream instread of aborting a currently viewed channel first if available...

A list of pip channels (just one) to abort is already available....

I think we do not need a recording type hack and tons of configurations added...

So recording not possible.... Stop pip first, then stream, then zap and then give-up... When confirmation asked just ask with a auto timeout...

Biggest issue... Get a list if streamed services to stop...

You mean a similar code as for pip here from line 577 in FailureCB

I know Erik has been busy in this area as well, I think related to a question to be able to easily see on the box if there are any streams running, which is the same (kind of) logic.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

->

Not exactly....

The idea from ATV is to add a field that registered how the recording did start... but they made it very complicated as far I can see....

In OpenATV they add isStreaming to the recording list here... Here we can try to store the streamings in a seperate list and then we are able to stop them when we need a timed recording....

lib/python/Components/Sources/StreamService.py

But we need to look further.... in our Streamservice.py I see also a recording is initiated so when it is used this one it should register a recording... But I never saw a red dit on the UI when streaming.... So there is still more to investigate...

If´ve made some test two weeks ago with a modified Streamservice.py without calling the navcore.recordservice methode and stoprecordservie but that make no difference. The tuner blocks and the record icon goes on when streaming starts

So I´ve no idea to change the code for aborting streams

The VFD shows the recording indicator when a stream is active, the skin (UI) doesn't show the red "R" icon. Testen on my ET10000.
