Do you have a solo4k yourself? I don't think so. The transcoding already doesn't work when the video decoder is busy. Already with the first channel.
I am just referring to information I got from VU+ themselves. As you know I don't have access to Broadcom documentation so I need to rely on what they say.

I even bought 2x VU+ solo4k and a big seller in Roermond can confirm it when you don't believe me.
I do not say that transcode work. I give you only the maximum options for the BCM7366 chipset. It's up to VU+ if they support the options.
As I assume you know about box modes, please ask at vu+ the specs for the 6 box modes.
Then you will be astonished and will know why it's called solo.
