Downloaded last DM800SEV2 image. After flashing and subsequent reboot box hangs after SSL #89 execution. OLED shows DREAMBOX and dhcp 3.2 dm800-sev2.gz

 

It's an Original box (flashed really hundreds of times, OpenATV 5.0 and 5.1....

 

Image will not boot...

 

Any suggestions??

Once you get to the lastest SSL you cant go back. ;)

But the meta-dream I'm using is mostly oe-alliance's.

I believe there was confirmation that the dm7020hd v2 was working though.

@goldeneye, can you please attach the usb cable, install the serial driver and post the bootlog here :)

MastaG, on spark 7111 I have problem with resolution, it doesnt apear the full size on fist click only on duble click, many streams doesnt appear on full size...

I guess its kind of gstreamer problem, can you check it out please?!

Hi blaugrana, that's correct. The gstreamer 1.x images don't leave much space on 64MB receivers like the DM800.

I always format an usb stick with ext2 and copy over the root-filesystem.

Then change the autoexec.bat file in the bootpartition to read: root=/dev/sda1 rootfstype=ext2 rw rootdelay=10

The advantage of using an usb drive over the internal hdd is that the hdd can enter standby mode.

If you use the internal hdd for storing the rootfilesystem, you'll have it spinning up every few minutes.

I can do that later... Box is in use now.. Now running on OpenATV 5.1 again. Perhaps a little later this weekend. A lot of Easter obligations :). Hope hyperterminal can cope with this USB2Serial thingy..

Allow me to thank you again for your support fir this (slowly becoming ancient STB)... Very much appreciated....

@goldeneye thank you, it may be solved already so you can also await the next build :)

 

@buc61b Thank you for reporting it, I was able to reproduce the problem.

The next release will have the screen resizing again like it should.

No more being stuck in the small preview window :)

OpenAtv5.3 with GST 1.8.0 work fine...When will appear OpenPli with GST 1.8.0...

OpenPLi is always ready. :) OpenPLi with Gstreamer 1.8 is a different matter... ;)

OpenPLi with gst 1.8.0 works great here.
Tested spark7162, dm800 and dm800se :-)
Expect some new builds soon.

I dont build official images my friend.
You can try image from the first post if you'd like to try out PLi with gstreamer 1.7.90 though.
Its for the original DM8000 :-)

But months later, when he was performing the automatic update, blocked my DM8000HD. So I now be looking for a new and good image with IPTV.
