I assume that openpli did not want to distribute their boot-logo with the GPL license, but simply not paid attention that the package is builded with such.

 

However, it is a fact.
You may not be include in a package, which is distributed under the GPL license anything that conflict with it.

If someone is used following package contents then prohibiting him to do it, you violate the GPL license.

Or you violate the GPL license inserting in package artwork, which should not be free to use.

 

I think that the right way is change the boot-logo package license and point out what to do only with the boot-logo that comes out of this, non GPL package.

We do not provide any artwork, it is not part of the source. To get to it, you have to download an image (or a package from the feeds), unpack it, and remove the artwork, and include it in your own build. Which means that when you do, you are deliberately trying to make your handywork look like an OpenPLi product. This is not any different from creating a car out of a soap box, sticking a Ford badge at the front, and trying to con people thinking it is a genuine Ford motorcar.

 

The name OpenPLi, and the OpenPLi artwork, is NOT free to use. This is about intellectual property and copyright, not about code or licencing.

Woops, that is an oversight that needs to be fixed ASAP. It should be CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.

I have an issue with the OpenUitzendingGemist plugin. Since I use your image, I guess this belongs to this topic. However I do believe that it's due to a change with the streaming party (NPO)

I've created a new batch of unofficial OpenPLi-4 images.

These images are shipping with gstreamer 1.x and some patches which have not been applied to the official images (yet).

Changes since last release:

- Replaced the official bootlogo with the World Press Photo of 2015:

  "Hope for a New Life" by Warren Richardson.

- Resynced with master and taapat's oe-core.

- Gstreamer snapshot upgraded to 1.7.90, except for spark/spark7162 where I ship version 1.6.3.

  Reason for this was the playbin issue which I couldn't solve: http://forums.openpl...ndpost&p=534693

- FFMpeg upgraded to 3.0 (thx to Taapat for the recipes).

  gstreamer1.0-libav is now compiled against a reduced version of ffmpeg, leaving more free space.

- Reworked the Dreambox BSP thx to Captain and gjstroom for their work in OE-A.

  Hopefully the DM800Se V2, DM7020HD V2 and DM500HD V2 are now working again.

  If you have such receiver, please test and report back.

- Added libluray and the blurayplayer plugin by Taapat.

- Moved EMC plugin back to the feeds.

- Added Media-button support in keymap.xml thx to .:MarcinO:.

- Added wifi support for Atemio Nemesis thx to .:MarcinO:.

- Applied patch to servicemp3.cpp from mx3L to fix possible GSOD on switching audio tracks.

- Applied patch to servicemp3.cpp from mx3L for faster IPTV zapping.

- Applied the linux 2.6.18 vermagic removal patch.

  You should be able to load any kernel module on the DM800 again (use at your own risk).

- Created images for X Solo Mini 3 and Zgemma Star i55.

- Created new libeplayer builds for spark/spark7162 based on ffmpeg 3.0 thx to Taapat.

- Hopefully fixed CrossEPG (untested).

- Applied christophecvr's patch for setting the debug level.

  You can find the option in the bottom at Menu -> Settings -> User-interface.

  Setting it to "0" will disable eDebug's completely and will give you smoother playback of IPTV streams on slower receivers.

I flashed my dreambox HD 800 pvr with his image.

 

I loved this image but after a while, when I uploaded my sat channels, iPTV disappeard. I will be happy if you can bring my IPTV back please

Keep in mind that this not an official image for the DM800HD and it not supported by the PLi team.

Anyways. the IPTV list is stored in /etc/enigma2/userbouquet.favourites.tv

If you upload your channellist it will probably overwrite it.

So you could do two things to get back the IPTV list.

 

Login to your receiver using telnet or ssh (PuTTY for example) and issue the following command:

opkg update && opkg --force-overwrite --force-reinstall install japhar-iptvlist

 

Or simply reflash the image and use FTP to save the /etc/enigma2/userbouquet.favourites.tv first to your computer.

Then after you imported your channellist, copy back the file and overwrite the existing one

 

 

Anyways, I'm uploading a new set of images at the moment.

I'll post them later today (the feed is taking a while).

Some other guy helped me by sending me link of IPTV and told me how to upload it with my DREAMBOXEDIT. I managed to upload it but my dreambox memory run out and I had to reinstall image. What is your latest image mate (for original Dreambox 800HD prv)
