not sure, I think it may be rather old vs newer sw/simplink version that is currently installed in LG tv's
on my 9 years old 50" plasma it did/does not work, and as far as I know it did not work on any LG tv from this time (or even couple of years youngers) at all regardless the price ;-)

but this only users of current lg's from different price ranges can tell, if it works now in general, or is a special bonus for high end tv's only (which would be rather strange?)
