DM500HD,

 

It's an unfriendly shellscript + ppanel quickly written by me.

It shouldn't be in the official images for various reasons (like not being properly written in python for example).

I'll send you the sources if you want.

 

So anyways, what's wrong with TimeShift, doesn't it work in my releases ?

Please describe a bit more what goes wrong.

Some guys using F500HD, after installing it all via PPanel, are having lots of problems with streaming...

Onda sam probao isto i sa PPanelom koji sve prebaci na USB i instalira exteplayer3, ffmpeg itd. Boot je sada sporiji, defaultni player ne otvara streamove nikako, a exteplayer3 to uradi jako sporo. Znači, u prvom slučaju (kad nije instaliran exteplayer3) defaultni player otvori isti stream unutar jedne sekunde, a u drugom slučaju exteplayer3 to uradi za 4-5 sekundi. Znači, tvrdnje da exteplayer3 bolje radi u odnosu na defaultni player, u mom slučaju, nisu potvrđene. Upravo suprotno.
Inače, ostale stvari su OK, box radi stabilno.

 

He tried a more traditional way and default player worked. But then, after PPanel installation - it couldn't open the same streams...

Btw, looks like Kodi is limited to 1280x720 resolution. With Full HD skin it took only part of the screen, but I don't care because I'm not using itonfirm

I confirm that ftp, ssh and other binaries are working on Solo 4K.

BTW: is there any solution to 1080 resolution for kodi menu/lancher?  Apparently, there is no problem with that on blackhole image...

Hi pepinoogorino,

I have no idea to be honest.
I don't own a Vu+ receiver so I cannot see for myself.
And I believe Blackhole is based on OpenViX's enigma2 which uses the oe-alliance build system and their recipes for Kodi.
I'm using openpli-oe-core with mx3L's bsp for Vu+.
So if he's aware of the issue maybe he can fix it in his bsp and it'll work for the next release.
If not then I'm afraid the only solution would be to import the Vu+ bsp, kodi and all of its dependencies for OpenGLES and such from oe-alliance which takes me lots of work.

Thanks a lot for this excellent work.

I tested this release on my Edision MiniOS (combo DVB-T2/C + DVB-S2) and I experienced the following issues:

1- No sound for France TNT TV channels (only on SD ones)

2- Albatros plugin installation seems to terminate succefully but Albatros is not shown in the plugin list

 

Any suggestion / advice to overcome this ?

I dont really care for multiboot.
There are too many different receivers with different flash layouts/filesystems/bootloaders etc.. so multiboot is a no-go.
I already took much of my free time add in all the bsp's (and modify them for openpli-oe-core) for everyone's favourite receivers.

I just added mx3L's tryfix for fullhd kodi on vu+.
Also I've added marcino's new bootlogo which looks really slick.
And python-crypto is now installed by default again.

Other things that are holding it up atm:
- replace the wifi drivers on spark to see if gorski's wlan stick lights up
- rewrite the dreambox rootfs extender so you can select the storage device and make it use partuuid (which is hopefully supported in linux 2.6.18)
- fix azbox kernel recipes
- wait for mx3L's new serviceapp
- get a new ssd since this one full

in setup/system/AV settings/video output use left ore right  to select Scart on ur RC.

You can change default media playback system in ServiceApp settings to exteplayer3 or gstplayer, then Kodi will use these.
