Hi.

Been reading here on forum that CI+ works on Mutant HD2400 and based on the info on internet i got one CI+ cam from a mate and loaned a box from some one i know to test this out before i buy one my self.

I installed the todays OpenPLI image, then made a search on few frequency and try the cam, but this is not giving me any picture.

The cam i have got is for Viasat Norway.

 

On the CI menu i see the cam and i can go inside the cam menu to se what is there, but still this is not giving me any picture.

 

So my question is, does OpenPLI support CI+ for Mutant HD2400 ?

 

another question i have is there any Enigma2 box that does support CI+ out of the box ?

Again, OpenPli does NOT support CI+!!! Unless they can include a driver that doesn't offend the GPU license. You will have to abandon OpenPli and change to another image that DOES support CI+.

OpenATV 5.x supports CI+

thank you for replay, i just read here on the openpli forum that mutant does support CI+ , anyway i will try another image, but since i only have used OpenPli / PLI for the last 10 years is difficult to go to another image :-)

CI+ will never work out of the box in OpenPLi.

 

It requires a CI+ certificate that is used for authentication. OpenPLi will never be certified, and will never receive such a certificate. Other implementations either use a hacked certificate, or the certificate from Gigablue which imho is not valld for Enigma2 boxes.

 

We refuse to do anything illegal, so we will never include an illegal certificate.

Thank you for your answer WanWizard. Im not after anything illegal, and this is why im trying to test the CI+ module from Viasat so i can order mine and be a regual user for them. i never ever use any illegal things, and i pay for my veiwing cards.

Is there any box that runs Enigma2 out there that can support CI+ out of the box ?

No, the point of a CI+ module is that the operator can control what you can and can't watch, what you can and can't record, and whether or not you can fast-forward. Enigma2 is een open receiver, it will never receive CI+ certification.

 

The images that offer CI+ support do so with an illegal certificate.

So bassicly this is just a dead project for me, as if the CI+ does not work in any Enigma2 box then it is not worth for me realy. I am trying to get this work an be preparerd for the new PL foot season.

I use untill now Streming legaly, but the picture is just bad and the stability is not good even that the operator is a legal and certified in Norway.

I'm not debating that Impex-Sat has a valid certificate, I'm debating that they got it for use with Enigma2. I'm willing to bet they got is for one of their closed-source receivers.

Maybe they did, can't tell that.

At least their solution suppose to handle the CI+ directly in drivers, requiring no changes in Enigma2 or "leaked" certificates.

I have now tested OpenATV image on the following boxes that i have my self
Vu+ Solo 4 K, Sezam Marvel, Miraclebox Premium Ultra, and is not working with OpenATV even that they claim it works in OpenATV.

 

I get message : TV module ( ci+ ) Error 120. A ccess to Viasat,s channl pakage can be limited becouse your tv is not compatibel with Viasat,s TV Module. 

Same message buyt diferent error code i get on Vu+ Solo4k, like 177 is ht eerror code.

Im now gonna dust up an Gigablue UE+ thati have and see if that works out of the box without any image install, if they have the licens they should work with no image need it i belive, offcourse the original image must be used 

PS: i tested with Tiviar Mini and here the cam works right a way with no problem, but since i use my box to stream over lan i use Enigma2 for that so i can stream on smartphone and pads.

Their site mentions only CI, while other newer receivers mention "Ci+ & Ci".

Tested with Gigablue UE Plus Original stock image then i get Error 119 and same message :-)

@ Dimitrij what box and image can this plugin be used with. is it for any image or specific to only OpenPLI and Formuler ?

i have no Formuler anymore :-( as i sold the one i had , dam and now i must buy back again

i will try again with Mutant HD2400 and see if it works.

I have now tested so much that im about to give up for today.

It works like charm in Tiviar box that has CI+ from factory. But i need Enigma2.

 

Vu+ Solo 4K, Xtrend ET 8500, Mutant HD2400, Sezam Marvel, Miraclebox Premium Ultra, Gigablue 800 UE PLus, all this are tested and no picture on the TV, tested with few diferent images but no luck realy.

Mut@nt has CI+ support, but not out of the box. You will need to install a third pary executable that we won't give you (because we don't have it, because it's legality is doubtful).
